Thanks a lot for the feedback

It's nice knowing someone has a use for tihs guide ..

Tihs guide will probably get outdated fast with the coming of Shadowlands.
I was in yesterday and got to look over the perks when it dawned on me all the new content
that will have to be taken in consideration in a profession guide ..

However, I'll do my best to stay on top of the problem and I'll try and update the guide
as I pick up on things here and there ..

    Thanks again

Bumping this so it wont be forgotten.

This guide has helped me immensely as I started my trader. It was exactly what i was looking for. Great work!

Please root this, so our profession can benefit from it in times to come.

Great guide indeed. Was extremely helpful to me.

One suggestion (apart from the obvious "impact of SL") is to talk a bit about the expense of running a Trader, especially early on.

Newer players (me for example) often don't realize that the drains and complit buffs and such which allows traders to be extremely twinked means your nanos and equipment will be extraordinarily expensive.

It would be interesting to list the "key" nanos and equipment by title level or so, and the approximate cost of such.

Root this, lot of time and effort put into this and it will save the occasional "What weapon and What nano skills should i raise/use?" questions.

    Thanks for all feedback.

Good point, Grenfell. I've added a little bit about expenses in the earning money section now.

I've also tried to update the guide when it comes to perks.
However, the information is a bit vague at best, because I really don't know
too much about them .. neither does everybody else.

But if you have something to add/correct/comment, please post them.

    Thumbs up

I'm about to start up a trader and like what I read here - root please

please root this! I'm always scrolling down to look for it. (okayokay, I could just bookmark it but I'm not the only one who needs this guide now and then.)

Also, wouldn't mind it if some more direction on implants were given. Like, I can see from nano nanny that TS and PM are conflicted at some points, and so is TS and Shotgun, I think.... Which way to go? I'm gonna have to look up my trader's stats to see what her PM is vs TS to see which way to go. And I was thinking of making a set of Shotgun only in the same hand for her to equip new guns, but keep the TS in for fights. ((btw, this is for PvM only.))

    great guide m8
the only thing i have to add is that for a PvM trader Revolving cold lasers are extremly good. With a good Ip managing and implants u are able to equip em at lvl 130ish and u can use em till lvl 175 or more if u dont wanna use Maw of the abiss or PoP.
The Perks section still need to be searched coz its a new thing still .

Regarding implants, I wrote the section when I was on a break from AO ..
I didn't want to get too far into detail either because different tastes for different people,
and suddenly you might have written something that's only right from one's own perspective ..

However, writing a few more words should be possible, especially now that I'm ingame.

Regarding weapons, traders can revel with any good weapon ..
With our roots nerfed in SL, we could start using melee in larger numbers as well, I suppose.
I chose shotgun because FC wants us to use them, really, and I'm a bit afraid that
if I include another good choice of weapons, I should include them all.
So, I'll stick to shotties for now ..

Anyways, thank you really, really much and thanks again.
Reading all these replies to the thread kinda warms my heart,
and it's good to hear that people find it helpful.
