    S7 PVM Toons

I want to have a toon for S7, I have been there on a gimpy doc and died not seeing too much, but what I did see was pretty cool. What toons are best to have for S7? I mean what toons are actually wanted/needed in a S7 Team in order to kill all the bosses of s7 ? I have been thinking of making either a sold or enfo but if any one has any ideas they are thinking about or current s7 twinks please drop some knowledge here if you dont mind. Thanks alot in advance for people who reply.

same profs as anywhere else. doc/enf/crat/sold.

enfos arent needed, soldiers tank better in my experiences and the whole place can be taken down with doc crat sold, and some other randoms thrown in for good DD is always nice. problems with enfos in s7 is they take too much dmg the doc cant keep up, also alot of enfos dont have real survival techniques other than kill before they kill you, which doesn't work well when they have a health bar longer than an enfo is tall.

Some enfos are "taller" than others.

Also, don't rule out NTs in here. My 199 NT has absolutely no problems in there and is great in a team for the calms, roots, and decent DD.

I didnt have good experience with soldiers tanking there (been doing it with tl5 and tl6 soldiers, and they all went squish as soon as tms was down), imo enfos or some evade profession like advy/ma is way much better. You can grab rrfe and keep it on, and you dont need soldier at all.

NTs are good there, so are crats... Enfo/doc is always needed, some people prefer soldiers (again, from my personal experience, if you are not twinked really good and in full high ql CSS you are most likely to die as soon as tms is down)... I have teamed some great agents there, and i always look for one when im making team, to help me with healing... Not sure how popular agents are in teams usualy.

If you already have doc, and is still in range of playfield, it s maybe best to just twink it up, finish research and use it as sec7 toon. Doctors are always needed, proly most needed of all professions there.

However, main point with this playfield is... if you want to be tank or healer, there is no option for "cheap MA setup for quick easy cash" like in sector 10.

From my small experience there, an Evade tank is better for 95% of the fights.

Having a back up tank with HP during Charging towers, or an advi I guess, should be good

CiB-perked MA is the ideal tank for S7, with an adv close behind. I'm not absolutely certain about advs, but an MA doesn't really need a doc in there.

better not have any real DD there then.

I just remembered my first sec7 team, first day when instance came out... We got group of random tl5 NW twinks (2 fixers, 2 advies, NT and doc) nobody higher than 170, we were completely clueless ofc except one person, and we pwned all bosses. If i remember correctly, advies were tanking, we had lots of heals, and nobody was really in trouble. So yeah, i think evade professions are best tanks there...

Stack DD and profit hard. Evades are over rated in S7.

    This.

The downside is the lack of heal nanos, but you do get a few health-drain perks to compensate.

Sure, if you bring full teams in there, it doesn't really matter. But if you're looking to duo it, then ma + crat/trader/nt is ftw (since you need a calmer anyway).

My adv in there (hardcore) has tanked everything that's in there, he does wonderfull damage and he's ranged.

I can keep the agg very good aswell, so i'd say adv's are the best tanks, cause they have evades, they have heals and good damage.

I think the list boils down to Doc + Crat + tank and any optional DD you might like.

Ive been mostly doing s7 with my crat, which I think is the most useful char.
Also enjoying using lvl 200 nanomage enf which has no problems like some that have been mentioned in this thread, barely needs a doc except when certain towers activate on final boss.

Agreed..i'd emphasize that it's important that you understand the dynamics of the zone as well. I forgot that killing guardians spanws more, much to my team's annoyance

Level 200 Enfo in ql300 OFAB/CM is pretty cheap option - just ~400mil for 3 pieces of armor and ~150mil for symbs, everything else is free or very cheap

And level 200 doc can wear all nodrop armor, be very good, and you dont need to spend even one credit on it. However, that wasnt my point...

I used to do s7 with my level 200 doc before leveling him more, with my orgmate's 173 enfo. Doc was nothing spectacular, eJath, 2s ND etc, enfo was a PvP twink.
Only reason to bring more people with us was to get the run done quicker, really. Never had a calmer there with us either, so I can't see why a decent enfo wouldn't be a good tank there. =P

TL5 enfs were never good tanks, their only benefits were aoe taunts. Even if enf was good, equally good MA or advy did his job way better when it came to tanking a single mob. It was poor pvm design that just couldnt keep up with player characters that were getting more and more OP, just like it is at tl7. I may be wrong tho as my enf was never any good and my tactic was all about smashing buttons as fast as possibile followed by sending hate tells when it didnt work :/

TBH for soloing I'd recommend a crat - its easy as hell to spam-farm control leach for NCUs and weapons (lootrights for pistol/axe/rifle especially sell nearly instantly) and its quick as hell, maybe 15 minutes per leach run. A well set up crat can solo it easily at 180 in a defensive setup, all you need is Shackles of Obedience, 2 charms and ninja, then profit.

Top that with crats almost always being welcome in teams and you have a winning combination IMO.
