Alright, now it seems unlike most, I am quite broke, I'm somewhat of a veteran, joined when I was 10 or 11, took breaks, am now 15, highest is a 74 Enf..but I am dying for a ''poor person's weapon/armor guide'' I can't afford any of the perennium beamers even the cheaper higher QLs, my chat doesn't work and arks can't just come out and say they have no clue why (if anyone wants to find out whats wrong feel free to pm) so I'm pretty much Single Player, I can't run alien mishes for LE without a team..So I'm stuck using my upgraded SMGs from noob island, I'd love grid armor to pwn through the subway, I expect great things from my fixer but I'm afraid he won't live up to much because of my current net worth.. =/
Great Guide, Haven't had a chance to read through all of the pages, wanting to get back to my Darth Bane: The Rule of Two. Sorry if something like this has already been asked :-) I've always admired fixers I love the virtual Can't Touch This. :-)
here is how you trouble shoot this- from a laymans point of view that is-
1) first take your copy of AO and try it on a friends PC.
2) re-install it on your own pc
3) shut off all firewalls and antivirius
4) reinstall windows
5) change ISP
follow these steps and you should logically be able to narrow down the problem.
because you either have a bad install or something is blocking AO chat servers.

This guide is / was great, indeed, shame it's outdated nowadays. Started my fixer like month ago, I'm leveling a bit slow (142 / 8 atm), but I love AO. I just hate looking for team and being bored in garden. I don't have much money so I'm not buying Syndicate Messenger Gun (100m is really much for a newbie °_°), so I gonna stick with my SPB.
The only thing that changed are 210+ equipment and quests. For lower levels this guide is still very much useful and accurate
