    Why Take Abilities Reset Away?

    As topic says. I don't understand why FC wanna take that away from us?
    I can understand why we can't reset Map Nav. but abilities..... comon... why don't allow us to reset it anymore? doesn't make any sense.

    Was explained awhile back (no I'm not searching for it for you .

    Basically ability resets caused some problems with not calculating correctly and not giving you enough IP back when you IPRed, causing a small amount of IP to be lost every reset.

    I think twinkers would have lived with that as an acceptable risk, perhaps having the IPR for abilities require a confirm ... but ...

    I think secretly FC considered raising abilities, maxing a skill, then resetting the ability to be somewhat of an exploit (hey, its fixed, so no screaming "ban ban"). Or at least highly undesirable.

    Either way, it was noted 2-3 moons ago ... was a fair amount of warning ... and was on test since 16.3 started its rounds there. Sorry you got caught unawares, but there was fair warning given.

    There was an explaination in the sub forum.. check it out. Summarized as: Resetting the core abilities somehow messed up the IP Trickle down, and robbed people of some IP points..

    (so instead of fixing resetting core abilities, they just lock us out of it all together)

    The orginal game design didn't account for IP resets... and the original IP system didn't account for Devs changing the weapon/tool sets so drastically

    IPRs are still in the game.. you just can't reset core abilites or map nav.

    maybe they don't like you cause i still had my ipr's after the patch

    IPR's are still there. You just can't reset int, or psy, or anything like that.

    Only reason I rolled clan, and not neutral or omni is because neutrals get shafted in equipment... And omni gardens are ugly....

    O phew bout blew a gasket heh. After TOTALLY nerfing my first few toons at higher levels, I learned IPR's MATTER lol. Tx for tha clarification.

    i just rolled a 90 NT for a low hp setup to use with the new Nano Shielding.


    I pumped stamina to get some pre-made implants in with the intent of resetting it to continue my low hp setup.


    Now I cannot reset it I have to re-roll the damn character.

    Patch notes explaining this were put up two months ago.

    Why did you pump stamina for implants? You have to take them out to IPR anyway

    Now .. there is one thing I dont understand; why cant we reset map navi? Make resetting map navi also delete your maps and map upgrades. Seems like a stupid thing to not being able to reset.

    This change does not make any difference to any twinker with more than average IQ because:

    Only use of reseting main abilities would be to equip implants or symbiants that require certain ability that is not important for your proffesion/character.

    But as you HAVE TO unequip all implants and symbiants before reseting it does not change anything.

    If I'm not mistaken you can still reset Body Dev, which has been moved to a more sensible slot in "Body" rather than abilities. Therefore low HP twinks are still perfectly possible.

    Best for this is to get T1 on as low as possible and CLit normally suxx then :/
