I havent seen this anywhere yet so:

On RK2 with My 210 MP
Nano Cast init around 1800 or so
at Full offense

MindQuake before patch was an Instant cast. 2 second recharge or there abouts
Now upon zoning , and at random other times apparently. MindQuake will take up to 2 seconds to cast with the exact same skill/setup

all my nanos seem to add about 1 second to cast time when this occures. Sometimes Zoneing clears this up but not always. When I get back in game I will try to do some work with this.

Does anyone else Notice added Cast time?

I noticed it when casting UBT on my doc during an alien raid. I figured it was just lag.

Actually I thought a few nanos seemed slower than normal too, but thought I was just trippin.

So far I noticed it in these areas:


Some examples of where I have noticed this:
1. Pen missions
2. Tinkers Tower






NOTE: all of these when I tried them I had waited till the door zone lag had gone away and let things "settle down". I havent had a chance to check if FPS window is still available but as far as I could tell I was not suffering from lag at the times this occurred.

It's true, I noticed that sometimes on AI ships, my doc no longer seems to instacast his stuff. Not always, tho, so this may just be lag. Like, before, when there was a 1 second lag and you pressed the shortcut for the heal, nothing happened, after 1 secodn the heal goes off, instacast. Now it seems more like the casting animation starts when I press the button, but the nano waits for the lag to pass before going off, giving the impression that I do not have enough nano init.

That's exactly how it was for me, I'd press the button, the animation would start, but the nano execution bar wouldn't show up for a second, then it would be instacast. But yes it does give the impression of not having enough nano init.

I actually do get a progress bar. one that takes about a second maybe two to fill. when I am getting this "lag" or whatever it is.

Has there been a general cap on NanoCast init effects?
