200 Adv S7 PVM Setup

Since its quiet lets discuss...

Any ideas on some solo setups for s7? Maybe tanking setups with a team?

Melee or ranged? Best breed?

melee won't do enough damage to hold agg effectively (no backstab if tanking).

so I'd have to go with jobe pistol for fast recharge FA and something else with a decent add dmg setup and balanced HP/aad.

But, it doesn't matter... solo is pointless you won't be able to solo technician, so whats the point, and in teams it's easymode, just slap on whatever and pew pew

I have a 200 trox melee setup adv with primary focus on hp and can solo all of the mini bosses (maid being the hardest). I have 14.9k hp selfbuffed and in tree morph I can chain CH without ever running out of nano. Technician isn't really that hard it just takes forever due to its healdelta and the fact that you kinda have to kite the charging tower (running out the door to heal in between alphas).

I wouldn't understimate melee DD, I'd even go as far as to say it is probably superior (I use a SSoS+300 AI axe). The nice thing about being melee is that you can use CM for some extra hp while still retaining AR/weapon skills (as opposed to CSS).

So I guess if you're out for damage I'd consider either what McKnuckle said about an add damage ranged setup or a crit melee setup. Most people generally have a preference to melee or ranged and I don't think the difference would be significant enough to force yourself to play a style you don't enjoy.

Around 1800-2100 depending on setup.



Melee and ranged can both be good.
I would say stick to melee and get as much evasion and HP as you can.
You can solo all bosses as an advy, just takes some work. :-)

This makes it a lot easier. :-)

One year later when I fine tuned my Crat and got a lot of experience I can state that adv is not really needed to help me as I can reliably solo farm technician

Org mate of mine had a ranged advy with jobe/s7 that could pretty much solo all bosses but last (i was just standing around trying not to die, offering a little dd), and got last boss close iirc. i think it was a pretty straight forward css setup, but i never really asked for details on how the phatz went my way ;D
