Thread: checking skills can exhaust you.....

    checking skills can exhaust you.....

.... well. OK, maybe not to the point of collapse but it can slow you down

What does seem to happen is that zoning (tried into BY/shop/etc) with the skill window active takes an incredible amount of time.

Before anyone suggests lag or client PC problems, nope, not either.

Zoning w/o window active is as per usual. Pop the skills window in any of its modes/views and I've been getting 30-60 second zone changes as opposed the the far faster regular transitions.

IIRC old skills view closed itself on zoning while the new one appears to persist. Of course I dunno if on zone new GUI is closing then recreating itself and hence contributing to the delay or not.

In any event the zoning with skills window active takes longer than closing it, zoning and reopening it after zoning. Tried this and it seems an order of magnitude worse in terms of overall delay.

    anyway....

edit: should have gone into GUI thread, my bad. mods please warp as applicable. thx.

zoning with the skill window open lead to seriously longer zoning times for me as well.

also observed several second lag with the skill window opened and casting e.g. composite attribute nano, or equipping attribute buffing weapon/armor/item. not sure whether perking/unperking attribute buffing perks leads to same lag or not...

Just opening the skill window takes me twice as long as zoning anyway...
