seem like fair enough numbers, it shouldn't take an hour to run to core for anyone.

Not a bad idea. I think a smaller playfield would be a better fix, though, as it wouldn't mess with melee professions the way general speed buffs would.
it's the main reason myself an many others refuse to do lower tl twinking. it's not just the running back n forth that's bad, but it effects the way your play and how desperate you are NOT to die and take 10 minutes to find the fight again.
