    Give me a sketch over the new wompah routes(my account is frozen) and I'll look into atleast fixing the wompah map

    I made a list of the new ones but stupidly forgot to take map coordinates. I'll try and sort those out tonight.


    Location changes:-
    - Old Athen Jobe Whompah has been moved out of its corner to join the other 3
    - Rome Green Jobe Whompah has been moved into Rome Red to join the other 3
    - 20K Whompah in Omni Entertainment has been moved south to join the other 3

    Re-routed:-
    - 4Holes no longer connects to the Omni whompah banks at Broken Shores, 20K and 2HO. Instead it connects to the Clan whompah bank at Broken Shores.
    - Southern Artery Valley (renamed from 10-3) bank connects to 20K where the 4Holes whompah used to be.

    New links:-
    - Mutan Domain has a second Whompah that connects to 2HO where the 4Holes whompah used to be.
    - The Longest Road has a second Whompah that connects to Broken Shores Omni bank where the 4Holes whompah used to be.

    Removed:-
    - Jobe Whompah removed from Borealis

    Totally new whompahs:-
    - ICC now has a Jobe Whompah with the 3 existing whompahs. (ICC has completely changed so no idea how that fits into the AoRK map now.)
    - Hope bank has a third whompah that goes to Perpetual Wastelands at Sabulum (coords needed).
    - 20K bank has a new whompah that goes to Southern Fouls Hills at Klatran Outpost (coords needed)
    - 4Holes has repurposed an old Omni link into a new whompah in Central Artery Valley in the Enigma Forest (coords needed)

    What have I forgotten..?

    New Whompahs with some screenshots:
    Southern Fouls Hills is at 1598.9, 2163.3 (upper right corner of the outpost).
    Central Artery Valley is at 1554.0, 1422.8 (directly below the "2" of the 2B city controller, city plots have been removed)
    Perpetual Wastelands is at 1072.3, 2598.3 (right half of the lake in northern Sabulum, the lake now also is a rectangle and the whompah is on an island in the middle of it)

    Does CoT and CoP still exsist? As they were player city only areas on the same line as 3 craters east/west, though they were a lot more beautiful.

    CoP & CoT were re-enabled in one of the last patches. They're empty as of now tho, fwiw.

    Could someone extract all pfmaps and pfmap shadowmaps for RK for me from rdb? I have people testing the new default planetmap now (only with new wompahs and 3 craters/newbie isle removed)
    I would need the images from pfmap to generate new background map without the city areas.

    Since a simplified version of your map is the ingame default planetmap, I wonder if you could talk to Michizure about providing you with the raw terrain/map/whatever data you need to update the map, instead of having to rely on players to hack it out from the game files for you?

    The devs of Ao is more than busy enough with what they do and if there is something the communiy can do I do not see the point in them doing it. They be better making new engine, quests, balancing, textures +++

    Your map looks so much better tho.
    In my defense it's been 10 years since I last started Photoshop. :-)

    I have been looking for AO-skintool to extract maps from the planetmap.bin file, but there isn't a single mirror alive which still hosts the application.
    I was able to find a psd file for the outdated CSPmap, which has tons of layers which can be used to generate different style maps. You can find that here: http://creativestudent.com/ao/developers.html

    I would be willing to help. No idea how to extract the pfmaps from rdb though. Would it help if I uploaded the necessary files for you and you extract them?
