    Pita... Ao + mfc80.dll = pita

    For google: MFC80.DLL, 8.0.50727.762, 1.9.1.1, 0xc000001d, The application failed to initialize properly Click OK to terminate the application. Vista Ultimate Edition 64 bit, Anarchy Online Launcher has stopped working

    OK -

    Step 1: Install Anarchy Online
    Step 2: Open Anarchy Online
    Step 3: Find out I have to patch.
    Step 4: Click "Patch"
    Step 5: Wait for everything to patch.
    Step 6: AO finishes patching, restarts,
    Step 7: See error message "Anarchy Online Launcher has stopped working" ... "View problem details"

    P.S. It's NOT a SSE2 issue, with the proc at least.

    E8400
    HD850 (ATI, Sapphire, the awesomely cheap awesomely powerful one)
    OCZ Vertex 120gb
    Gigabyte EP45-ud3r or whatever

    No overclocks...

    Random ram sticks from work, all DDR2 800 and 1gb sticks

    Fixed it - http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/KB961...ReleaseId=2067 ENU (vcredist_x86.exe) (yes, x86 on a 64-bit os.. cause AO is x86)

    Was skeptical cause it was for a different and quite specific version of MFC80.dll but it worked. It is also known to **** up several other M$ applications (outlook etc) that I don't use.
