Newland Logo Contest: Information and Rules

Hi there,

here are my submissions for the Newland Logo Contest.

The Font used is Dejavu (http://dejavu-fonts.org/wiki/Main_Page).
The License seams to be ok for the purpose of this contest.

LOGO 1:

This one could be made by the NLC tourist agency as it is a colorful approach.
In case you dont recognize the symbols below the text, the fist one (from the right) are waves which are for the lake, the second is a windmill of which NLC has many.
The third is the west gate through which many people enter Newland City.
I made two versions for different backgrounds which have different colors for the borders.

LOGO 2:

This one uses a NLC sight that is not so obvious to the common NLC visitor.
I got aware of it only when I was looking for some NLC charackteristic stuff.
It shows the quiet monumental Newland Mountains, which shelter the city from the east.
Below the logo there are the waves of the NLC lake which lays to the west.
So mountains and lake enclose the words Newland City, like they do on Rubi-Ka.


LOGO 3:

This last one shows the contour of the most famous NLC sight: the lake.
Overlayed again is a windmill, which seems to give NLC the power to survive.
The words are arranged in a way that the first letters can be read as the famous short form for the city: NLC.
I know the blurred lake is not optimal for a logo.
I have another idea to change this, lets see if I find the time to do so.
