    IP useage

    I do not believe we have a list of this sort, so I thought it would be a subject that may be important in the later stages of balancing. I will also be using this information in a future thread as well. All you need to do is post your profession, level, and your IP useage in the following fashion.

    Profession (level)
    How many and which skills you have maxed
    How much additional skills are IP'd
    How much IP you have remaining

    Pretty simple, and when I am able to log in I will post my own for the thread. I am unsure if you can see how much you have IP'd a skill without logging in, so if you have to break it into less than 1/4, between 1/4 and 1/2, between 1/2 and 3/4, and more than 3/4. That should be specific enough unless you have a majority of your skills partially IP'd and need to be more specific.

    Minimum IP
    nano pool (15%)
    nano init (to get to 1k with a IVC in) (15%)


    I have about 106k left over. This is enough to max riposte and Parry if they get changed to working status. It's enough to max sharp object and get parry above 1k, but ripost will be at about 800 iirc.

    Not enough to MAx Aimed shot and get enough for a low QL supernova (tried with a QL 107 but couldn't get the RE for it without changing to a mostly commando armour setup)

    Reminded me of another important question looking at Noobas's. If you can, list the skills you would IP or max if you had the IP to do so, especially if you ran out of IP.

    Also, try to limit it to toons staying at a specific level (ie 150 s10 toon) or 220's.

    "Some" IP in first aid, not sure how much.
    Enough perception to swap SF

    This leaves me with around 300k IP. If I had 2.3 million more IP I'd max evades.
    Waiting for a cure.

    Mosta's IP distribution isnt uncommon for a pvp engi actually.
    Personally i dont have any IP in evades either, but my ip distribution is almost completly different. (and i'm more geared towards pvm)

    Evades are something I see as being rather useless for an engineer. Even when they're maxed they're extraordinarily low. I don't see spending 760k IP per evade and still getting consistently hit by greenies and doctors. You really should check out how much evades an engineer has in pvp setup. It's laughable. 1300-1400 with 800ish AAD? Yeah ok. IPing swimming is more useful.

    Anyway, between coon, blockers, reflects, and big HP build I survive well enough. That whole mantra about no evades = crit city is so 2006. After LE, we got showered with crit resist items and nobody uses a crit scope anymore except AS monkeys.

    Aye, it was particularly the crits I was thinking of - but I can get that that's less of an issue these days mebbe. Do you still go for AAD items?

    Should be more like 1600-1700 EvadeClsc/Dodge maxed out with 800 AAD... but yup engis have always been the weakest on base evades.

    Still, very interesting that there's not enough benefit to IP them at all in either PvM or PvP.

    Lets see cba to list everything so ill just give a summary

    220 NT(pvp): NTs have no problems at all with IP I'm pretty much free to IP wtf I want

    220 MA(pvp): Oh god wtb some of my NT's IP... I have literally none at all left and IP is extremely carefully distributed, lots of stuff has to be trimmed etc. Very very very very very tight IP distribution. GIEF MOAR!!!!!!!

    220 Fix (pvm-ish) Very tight IP

    220 engi (pvm/TSer/DDer): Decent amount of IP available

    220 doc (pvm) IP isn't much of a problem

    If this works properly I'll do several more like this as it should be as precise as it gets.

    I can actually reset Bow, AS, Nano Pool, Most of the Nano init, Concealment and Tutoring. As a PVM tank oriented setup I have a considerable amount of IP.
