I really hope the professionals see that bigger picture too.. because I don't.
What is the use of showing us these documents when we can't understand the bigger picture?
Examples: What will happen to run speed? What will happen to healing?
Many enforcers have pointed out changes that could work out dramatically.
The way how some key aspects got changed without feedback from professionals feels wrong.
If funcom redesigns the core of a profession, then at least INCLUDE the community (professionals).

Can't say much about the current changes but it makes me afraid of losing the profession I always loved.
the problem is... and its something alot of people are not actively thinking of, is we will not know the "big picture" until ALL the rebalancing docs are released.

of course, FC could have just waited till all the docs were written before letting us see them... but then everyone would of course be complaining "FC is just trying to sell us vapourware!" and such. they instead took the chance that whines of nerfs and over poweredness would be better than whines of false proclamations.

essentially.. we've been given a few pieces to a puzzle. not enough to properly figure out what the resulting picture will be.. but enough that we can make wild assumptions.

I guess from the two new documents you can take some hints for the "bigger picture":

    - Enfo HP will be nerved.
    - Heals will be nerved in genereal.
    - Specials will be changed. My guess is damage/useability will be reduced so no more capped hits as standard
    - Perk damage will be changed. More damage for all profs. Probably better chance of resisting.
    - Runnspeed will be scaled differnetly (low toons faster; high toons slower; effectiv rs closer to each other)

    - More team version for nanaos (make every life easier for every one)
    - Levelrequirement for many nanos (GSF, HoT; perhaps rrfe, negativ effect of Trader drains, mochmas)
    - Increased usebility of all profs in teams

In generall, high-PvP sould not be over within 3sec and in mid/low-PvP there should not be a bundel of buffs running around with a toon, but toons running around with some buffs.
Mid/low-PvP seems to go in the direction, that buffs from external sources are less necessary, but the profs in the actual team are more important.

But thats all only guesswork. :-)

I wonder how many people are forgetting that all kinds of other things are going to change at the same time, including specials and perks.

-except that enfs got lowered dmg from perks and also gettign harder to land their perks.
-nothing has been said about nerfing specials except giving AS an execution time when not performed in stealth, and being possibly interruptible by melee.
-enf usablity in teams is once every 10 mins wich still isnt even worth the effort.

i find it quite funny that enfs get nerfed on all fronts of the game..

The absorb lockout seems like an effort to dumb down enforcer pvp. It was one of those things seperating the gimps from the good ones.
It took some skill to get the timing of rage, mongo and layers absolutely right without letting your nano run out. Not exactly thrilled about that one, but let's see how it develops.

I'm not too worried about the rage changes, tbh. A 10s lockout isn't anywhere near "DEATH! DEATH!" and the removal of RS will make enfs just as OSB-reliant as other profs. I expect similar treatment for the wolf nanos (lower ones at least). Seems to me like it would get rid of those perma-capping gimps on BS, which is great.

Depending on what is going to happen with the absorbs in the end, I think TL5 enfs will still be alright. And it's a good tiny first step to bringing 170 agents down to earth (or RK) again.

I think what Harios is asking for is simply a clarification around what is not profession specific. Kintaii mentioned a while back that things like AAD, or even the number of IP spent in each prof would be reviewed. Was it reviewed? Are we going to be seeing more IP? What about AAD? What about specials, how are they going to be working? Will there be a new damage cap?

Genele mentioned in an interview that healing would mean making sure to keep an eye on the available nano, so cost is going up..up to what extent? And heal is reduced by what extent. Is HD going to receive a nerf too? What about ND?

The sum of those bits of information give us a hint of the big picture. But we don't see it yet.

Forgot to ask..which prof(s) are potentially(tm) announced next week?

Rubika tunnel is still there, must be your eyes

And I agree with #2. I never use clan gardens for this very reason.

Otherwise I am really excited about the fixer changes. Looks like I will finally be free of buffbeggers spamming me with teaminvites.

Team garden warp is huge. I wonder if this is how FC deals with people asking for an exitbutton in bossrooms in missions and statics.

Will it be possible to just warp yourself and not the entire team though?

What changes to specials and perks now could make enforcers the way the majority of the playerbase wanted them? We wanted more meaningful absorbs and a way to move away from 100% alpha reliance, but the changes so far are moving in the opposite direction. If FC has listened to us, it has not been made apparent and that is what is upsetting a lot of enforcers at this time.

Then I see MA's, a profession that has a strong advantage in killing enforcers, only made stronger in the nano documentation. Even their increased heal cost is made pointless by their top team heal which could be cast as effectively as Matrix of Ka is now. This makes variables like nano-regain an issue, but if all professions are having the same issues then it will be the ones that can survive the longest without casting, which a high evade prof could afford to do while the doc or enforcer they are pummeling would not.

I don't see current garden warps being replaced, so.. Then again, it's kind of hard to understand these documents without some sort of explanation about different colors or who was the color blind that chose these colors.

do i read this right? Program Override gets NR check lowered to 50%? i planned to play a fixer mainly after the reballance ( rolled the first one over a year ago lol, good pace fc ), but 50% is just beyond ridiculous

with 175% NR check, at tl5 its landing rate is quite ok on most profs, 50%? regardless of TL, its your worst idea i saw so far, if it goes live, im proposing a name change from Funcom to Insane.com

reaaaaallllyyy hoping thats just a typo

It's on the same retardedness level as LE nukes, and we all know how "fast" FC realized those were op'd.

And ppl are saying others that voice their opinions about these laurel and Hardy class changes are whiners.... I hope they will be the ones on the recieving end of something equally class destroying this time

I for one am not prepared to reroll if my toons get nerfed into nothingness. Spent too much time twinking and leveling already.

Although I was majorly whining, I expressed my serious concern for this too here. I really hope this pans out for the best, as it is of vital importance to me as a pvm'er too.

Well, all this is very interesting, but there seems to be way too much being changed with just PvP in mind without consideration of the other effects on PvM.

Ao has gone from very few level locks to increasingly more over time.. which goes against the original nature of AO to my mind. I echo the previous comments about buffing low level toons with Hots/Rs for PvM.

Bear in mind that regardless of the impression one might get from some of these forums, a large majority of AO players dont give a **** about PvP, and wont be at all pleased to find things nerfed just to give some ( attempt at ) balance to a minority for PvP.

Take Rage as an example.... I can see, kindof, what you are trying to achieve, but because you consider it to be unbalanced for PvP, that means every other enf in PvM has to move around in treacle forever. The same applies to enf absorbs, an unneeded nerf as far as PvM is concerned...

I understand that you have to "balance" your balancing, but I'm not sure the PvP centric focus in this process will be rewarded with anything other than disapproval by those who dont PvP.

Just take a closer look at LoR forums, they have closed infamous "I Quit..." thread. It must be related with incoming enf changes.
