    Its not untouched. It lost the main reason for it to run, level 150 twinks. With level 150 twinks in the lower BS the PvM toons will follow (and farm VP instead of T1). 151+ battle stations will not run because below 200 there is no gain in abilities and most PvM toons will use the armor farmed pre 150. I hope Means doesnt change his mind. It will give nabs a cheap armor for level 100+ and screw all Tl5 twinks. Exactly what they asked for.

    agree with this. as it is above i can for see a non running bs at 175-214 and can hear the cry of 150 s10 toons not getting ofab because of the 101-150 may only run sporadically(or it may run a lot with lots of s10 toons now at the top of the food chain). I would def go 175-200 with s7 twinks in coming , leave 150-174 as it is now, and then leave 201-220 range as previously proposed. the greybies are just gonna be APTed up anyway and will let them grind faster with the additional daily available.

    love the rest though.

    I'd run with the following BS lvl ranges....

    175-204
    205-220 - keep all TL7 toons in a single BS range

    Apart from that ...if was good to hear the player base say that the 'new engine' does exist, guess it just needs to get 'here'.

    Wouldn't it be possible to reduce the amount of people needed for a BS round to start, at the same time ? As far as i m concerned 1 vs 1 is just fine, so scale it at will, any reduction should be welcome.

    i dont know most 150s are pvm toons made to farm creds, not well twinked pvp toons made by people that love to pvp. i could be wrong, but i think it hurts both ranges...

    can we make the new engine available to paid players only?

    this should incentivize the froobs to buying the game - the goal here is to make money, and you're not making money off of the froobs - this should in effect boost the population of the servers - lets make shadowlands teaming with people wanting to do stuff vs 10-15 people in SL or the same on RK

    this is the cake means is talking about, this new engine.

    froobs will likely say but i want my cake and eat it too.

    the issues with battlestations is, no matter what the level range is, most people will not be happy with them. What I purpose is implementing an 'overlapping' level range system every 10-20 levels and allowing the player to choose which range they would like to enter.

    Level Ranges

    ---Baby BS---
    10-30
    20-40
    30-50
    40-60
    50-70
    60-80
    70-90
    80-100
    90-110
    100-120


    --Normal BS--
    110-130
    120-140
    140-160
    150-170
    160-180
    170-190
    180-200

    --MegaBS--
    190-210
    200-220


    in this way, players would have the option of being
    'the low man on the totem pole' or 'close to par with everyone else'

    for example, say my level 150 s10 trader twink who was forced to pvp in BS for VP
    signed up for the battlestation putting her in both queues for 140-160 and 150-170 battlestations.
    when the confirmation pop-up appears, depending on which (or both) queue is filled, would then notify which (or both) battlestation is available by providing enabled/disabled buttons for which battlestation is available to play on.

    that way, I'd have the choice of getting raped by 170's in the 150-170 BS
    or being somewhat on par (the middleground) in the 140-160 BS
    or wait for the level range I want to become available



    Redesigning the battlestations might be a good idea also, especially for size vs level range
    as low-levels in the current battlestations find it way to big to traverse
    and high-levels can easily run from one side to the other in less then 30 seconds

    Baby Battlestation:
    Half the size of the normal battlestation
    this should be easy to implement, if your playfield tools are able to clone and shrink.
    this would be appropriate for the levels < 100

    Normal Battlestation:
    the current battlestation, appropriate for levels 100-190

    Mega Battlestation:
    DOUBLE the current battlestation size, appropriate for levels 200-220



    Spawncamping:
    Currently, the "C" wing of the battlestation is under-used.
    I purpose that if a player dies within 1 minute of spawning from dcon, should respawn in the C wing.
    kinda like the chain-death mechanic the is currently in game for non-battlestation deaths.
    this would help reduce the spawncamping complaints.


    Quad-Capping:
    currently, capturing all 4 control points causes the capturing sides' points to increment on a timer indefinitely. this poses a problem: a side can exploit this mechanic by capping all 4 controls then spawncamp their way to a fast victory; the losing side will then emo rage quit, leave and not sign up again and the battlestations won't run for hours or days at a time.

    what I suggest, is having the points ticker add up to 100 points for the capturing side then all 4 control terminals reset to a neutral/uncaptured state. this will allow points to tick normally and hinder the spawncamping a little as the campers would have to leave and recapture the control points.

    i agree with xyphos on BS size with nowadays RS, but we need to check RS redistribution planned to confirm.
    no comment yet on crat doc nor alien content (need to check) & no comment at all on camera/footage.

    Q&A :
    Could you, from now on, communicate frequently on new engine defined steps :
    - FINISHED + screenies/viddies (e.g. : as for new heads)
    - TO BE DONE + approx time evaluated for each
    ?

    i think the overlap idea could work well in solving certain problems presented like the 150 toons or the 200 toons...

    10-30
    31-60
    61-100
    101-150
    151-174
    175-214
    215-220

    my suggestion

    5-10 --------------gives 5-10 twinks something to do

    11-30 ------------no comment

    31-60 ------------a place for temple twinks to hangout

    61-100 ----------no comment

    101-149 --------vp's so for those who do not want to use t1, and do not have loads of$$

    150-174 --------give the s10 twinks a challenge

    175-204 --------big range, but will allow bs to run with the amount of people in these ranges. power levelers will be under equiped so that may even things out. This seems to be the biggest range issue, but you will have at least one if you want less bs ranges

    205-220 -------205 toons are fodder for 220s, but it will greatly increase the amount of peeps in this bs. With the dailies i can see this bs running most of the time as people are always making new toons.
