Help! Broken AO, tried reinstalling, downgrading, everything.

I'm on windows, one which supported AO up until the last update. It brings up this message:

"Unable to get the InfoObject from the resource database. If this happens every time you start AO, there is a good chance that your installation is corrupt. Please try reinstalling the game"

I have reinstalled it about 5 times now. Help.

Best would be to copy-pasta a DXdiag. We cannot read minds (OS, hardware, drivers), also, inbe4 warp to tech help.

Edit: Do you have admin rights on the computer? The prefs folder AO creates is located elsewhere as the game it self.
