    Bad Nomad, for how long?!

    Dear FunCom


    Just wondering how long you are planning to keep the Nomads roaming Rubi-Ka?
    Or will they be removed in a few weeks, similar to how GUPHs do after a while.

    Now I can understand removing GUPH since Halloween is over and all that, now what I can't understand is agi/sense+ pads dropping on occasions like this. There is no equivalent to the items dropping ingame, yet you insist on them dropping once per year. Well two times this year?

    In the things you do in the name of "fun" this is the one that never stops to amaze me. The pads are extremely useful when it comes to twinking, yet you insist that only people with no life, or are able to pause their real life for an extended period of time. To have have the pads.

    Stop doing this already, let the Nomads stay on RK so we can get the items when we want. Or will we soon see nomad armor in the ingame shop?

    The Nomads should stay on RK, but spawn rarely. Maybe put some of them into RK mishes?
    Maybe they'll make people go out in the wild after the BD also.

    Yeh that would be cool. I've never been to one of the sandstorms so i duno how those work really, but it would be cool if nomads kept popping up in sandstorms in the 4 areas they're in now.

    Give the sandstorms a meaning. Make flying in a yalm in a sandstorm slower (or even impossible) but spawn nomads (and sandworms. Huuuuuge sandworms).

    They're nomads. How about making a camp of them spawn from time to time in a couple of random desert locations? And it could be in different levels you'd care about. One camp for QL300 armor, one for high quality but still froobable equip, and some random lower ones.

    Bump for this, would be nice to be able to acquire nice QL pads such as these throughout the year - everything else could be removed, but please keep the Nomad Armor dropping, thanks!

    Also, this would make some nice leveling armor at least in some spots both for paid and froob players.

    Maybe you'd even see more people going to somewhat deserted areas to kill stuff as well

    It would be good for diversity either way.

    Armor requirements are just the same as the Cloak of Reanimated ones. They are froobable even at QL300 on most toons (Opi, Soli and perhaps NM). Just my 2ct

    1. Anyone can get the pads, anytime (they are in game), because both on Halloween and now, you can reactivate for free. You only have to have an AO account and access to a computer.

    2. What do you mean by "people with no life"? What, you have to raid 4 hours straight? These items are extremely easy to farm solo. Who doesn't have a few hours to play during 2 weeks or more? Again, you only need to have an AO account and access to a computer.

    3. What do people need them for? With the current items, the pads are only needed for ultra twinking. It makes things easier, obviously, but I'm pretty sure that they aren't actually required for any current item a twink might aim for. They make a difference for froob twinking, but I don't think that this is the case when people complain on forums.

    Maybe they should leave them in game, I'm not here to argue that, although it makes the special events less special, I just don't understand the point of these complaints. Who and what does it need them for?

    Actually no, I guess if you still live at home then yeah sure it's no stress. I could not make Halloween this year, why? I don't know might be that I had 3 tests in school in that period. I really do hope you understand why I did not log ingame during that period.

    Easy? I've done 250+ kills and had 5 ql300 pads drop, you think that take 30 min?
    Sorry but the time I could just drop everything to play AO ended a few years ago.

    Ultra twinking? Are you joking? Sorry but that statement just show how blatently unaware you are of twinking, and gear throughout the title ranges.

    30+ or 40+ agi/sense regarding the event, that is frankly insanely powerful. Being able to get them 1-2 times per year caters an elitist playstyle. If they are so harmless why not have them around all year. Besides Nomads fit with RK pretty well.

    They probably are harmless. It really doesn't bother me if they stay or not. Just make sure not to miss the next Halloween when everyone will be disapointed that there are no special phats.

    The armor is not game changing & the intention of the desert nomads fit the game's theme in RK perfectly. Either have the desert nomads available in some form (RK daily mish at various levels?) &/or remove the nodrop tags from the armor.
