means when you click to upload it the game rolls 1-100 and if you score 97+ you dont upload the nano.

Ask doctors and crats about their SL nanos ICR, IIC, INR and IRT, ICRT, ISC about how they felt while uploading the nano. Millions if not a billion spent for the crystal, and then, a 3% chance that the nano upload would fail and one would still loose the crystal...

Or the random poor sob who thought it would be clever to repair above crystals to avoid the chance for them to fail... harharhar, the "repair" converts them into their classic rk nano. As in, virtually useless junk ^^

If repair was working properly.. which with the last 6 Slave nanos I've tried.. its not :\ I didnt think they were non-repairable.

Not having these nanos work all these years is just pure incompetence. No excuse not to fix or replace those improved nanos with working non gambling versions.

If you see this as proper design mechanics then It would be fair to see the GA and NS series and many more have random roll added to them. Everyone should get to share the experience of "you fumbled the nano shatters in your hands" after you spend billions.

Give me an "improved NS" that gives the same sufficiently increased effects that the other improved give (I'm thinking 45 sec duration or more here, to keep it in line ) and I'd be okay with it.

Otherwise please keep in mind that GA and NS are rk nanos, while the nanos you are talking about are improved SL versions of RK nanos.

Where they come from and what tags they have on them to use are irrelevant in regards to balance unless we are going to balance around froobs.. Anything else proves bias on part of FC towards certain professions. We are talking about essential pieces of profession tool sets that are required and essential by endgame that are incredibly rare and difficult to obtain and in most cases cost a fortune to acquire and are a huge gamble and risk to try even to activate and use. Why should mainly doctors and crats have to take this gamble while others don't? The entire concept is insane and has been always. If it were even remotely balanced all of us would have to have equally share the risk of a failed upload of a super rare 1b+ nano. The simplest solution is to do away with this garbage once and for all.
