AO lost my video card

I got a message after patching AO it could not find my video card. Now, it will not even look for one after changing my visual settings. It has reduced my resolution to at most 800x680. This is the last nail in the coffin for AO for myself and my wife. We are done.

Same thing happened to me. Just like it would with a brand new install. I clicked settings and selected my card and continued as normal. It's really not that difficult.

So, what do you do when your card is not a selection available? Pfft. There are pros and cons on not using the registry, this is a con.

Use the "Primary Display Driver" option until you can get your Video Card driver updated so AO will recognize it. They just made a major change to the structure of the game. There will be *some* bumps.

Bumps? I was there for 12.6. It just gets really old.

Not using the registry?

Use primary display driver, it's the same thing. But it's amazing, I would love to see what your configuration is that makes things not work. Photos, dxdiags, the works!
