Im not a programmer, but has it ever occured to anyone that the new engine could actually be 2 projects in 1?
1. new graphics and shinies for gaming pc's.
2. keeping it backwards compatible for older machines.
For example, 1 of my 3 pc's won't run TSW/Conan because the onboard graphics is not good enough. How many subscribers and froobs would be in same boat if there was no compatibility for older machines? You think population is bad now? Imagine population then.

The whole idea of keeping the backward compatability is a waste of time and money. I have no pity for the people who whine that they can't play the game if it gets a new shiny shiny. The game needs to evolve and they are holding it back.

Awesome update, NPE, Steam, and the new Engine, all awesome stuff!
So a question to anyone; how is the population nowadays post server merger?
The engine can bite me. Expend some effort on fixing the economy or those teaming hordes from Steam won't last long.
