A proclamation from His Majesty, the King of RP

My dear and loyal subjects:

Dark times are upon us and as the King of RP I feel I should address you.

Last week, as many of you are already well aware, one of the bravest knights of the Realm was slain by the mad King Attrition. Lord-Commander Lornavash, having bravely served two tours of duty on strange and very foreign soil was finally bested by powers beyond even what he could control.

While the dark cloud of mourning still covered my kingdom we were struck yet again, no less than an hour from the time with which I hath pennith this proclamation!

Tragedy again bears its ugly head as the mildly adored Lady Rainys has, just today, found herself the victim of King Attrition. A Lord and a Lady taken from our Kingdom no longer than a week apart!

I understand that this can be unsettling news; however, I am addressing you today a reassure you all that stability shall be maintained at all costs! Our kingdom is not built upon pillars of salt or sand, but rather on the solid rock of your backs!

Remain strong. Remain vigilant. And, more than anything, remain loyal.

I'm having a bit of a time trying to understand this whole situation, because I'm a bit of a skeptic as some of you may already know. So, just so its right in my head; You were stepping down because the team seemed to feel 'not yours' per se. ARK-Events (im told) was investigated because team members within Funcom proper didn't really take a shine to the news. Rainys is asked to stand down, and in turn you are reinstated.

Now, again some folks know I am a big proponent of playing Devil's Advocate... so, this whole situation seems to look like a sort of coup attempt. To the best of my knowledge, things had slowed down to a snails pace, but had not altogether stopped. If you could shed some light as to what changed over the course of the past couple of months, that would help me understand the situation a bit better. Also, who is going to be the new Assistant Director now that you have moved up?

I stepped down because Rainys in my opinion, along with the support of Pheats had a very confident grasp of the department. My thought process was 'Those two know what I know, so they'll be fine' (and I don't mean that in an arrogant way, just there's certain commands that only AD and D will know to use in events for example.)

Suffice it to say, but Pheats left with no intention of coming back, Rainys then resigned of her own occord and because I had left in good standing, detailing to Staffing that I just wanted to bow out, I got asked to come back. There is no secret coup attempt, no plot to overthrow the proverbial leader.

People left of their own accord and I'm afraid there's not much more detail to give beyond that.

So does this mean the revolving door has stopped? I do hope so. Towerblock has brought up some very valid points, but I would like to bring up the RP aspect. This CEO story really needs to get a move on in my opinion. I am holding back my RP ideas for the Community because I just don't want things to get split up.

I still have some concerns but maybe they will ease.

When people are asked to step down, its to avoid doing so via process. Now that it's all said and done, were only going to hear one side of the story. Can you understand now why this can be a bit frustrating for us in the community? I'm still waiting to hear who's going to be AD now.

We haven't even announced the Director yet, let alone the Asst. Director.

There will be an AD for Events, but it'll probably be through an interview process that could probably take a week or two.

As soon as the Director and Asst. Director are appointed, it'll be on this forum.
