    Spanish Command of Ennui

Having been able to only get 2/5ths of the way into the Spanish (written, starred, but filmed in English) film Automata I have to say it's an impressive trip into nihilo dystopic future scifi. Very well done so far. But sad. I'm wondering if this is true of Spanish art in general.

I think the only zombie film I've seen in recent years where the protagonists die in the end was Spanish as well.

Maybe Spanish Command of Melancholy would have been a better title.

Automata was just average, while spanish films have their moments, I don't see anything particular true of spanish art in general being well done and also sad.
