All Dragon armor is like that. Tarasque does not actually "die" when we kill her, but the pieces of her just cannot regenerate themselves because of the damage done to her body. But in that regard, her flesh still remains living and will conform to your body as it if was part of its original host, even when constructed into armor we can wear.

... in terms of mechanics, that's freaking busted. Dchest was already a fantastic item for MAs, and transplanting the mods onto the gloves makes it a (cheap?) alternative to CM for very lucky raiders.
