Calm bug is a result in a change to ao a long time ago. In the past when a mob took damage, and if you calmed the mob, the mob didnt recover hp at an supercharged rate. It was a slow recovery much like player heal delta. I think i remember this nerf was because people were stacking mobs, taking them to low hp, and using xp perk to get xp.

with boosted xp these days, is it even worth doing this anymore? or can this be changed back to original so we can be rid of calm bug?
