    SMAA Corner rounding need lowered its set to 100 or SMAA threshold needs increased some.

    I really wish they would allow/ask for help with doing textures. I've done quite a bit of texture work and would be awesome to start getting some stuff overhauled.

    Just doing all the heads would take me no more than a week. Then slowly expand out into most common items. Some of the textures are 128x128 for crying out loud! T_T

    Do some samples and post them. If they like them they might use them. I think they already did most of or at least some of the heads. Best way to see the textures is in 3D. Render them in some basic 3D environment with lighting, shading etc..

    I will give SweetFX a try when I get a chance, the results look very promising. Most of the lighting is too bright still. Although much better than it was during closed beta.

    Reshade looked very nice with doctorgores settings (I did lower SMAA rounding to 0 / which is the default setting, to not affect the text).

    Game worked lovely everywhere except in Battlestations. I ran 3 rounds of 151-200 and the client kept freezing every round, which required a Task Manager End Task and restart.

    I suspect its more the AO client, which is generally only semi-stable when heavy zoning or intense activity/pvp.

    Could you perhaps post your settings? I don't enjoy the extreme contrast that many people seem to find pleasing and always liked the washed out / faded look that AO originally had before neongrass was introduced.

    This is what I'm using currently, I have dropped the contrast and also expanded the black and white clip; though in Scheol there are some issues still with the lower scheol areas being too dark (with or without sweetfx running) I'm running on an IPS 27" monitor which is correctly calibrated monthly for video/photo editing.



    I can't actually post the settings here, as it goes over the 1500 character limit.
    So here is the latest settings on Storms forum. (copy text inside the quotes and paste into notepad, save and load as a preset)

    I'll try them out when I get my new SSD (ordered a 1tb, funny what AO makes you do) Thanks!

    The issue I've always had with these things is that while they may enhance certain areas, but some things just look messed up. But new engine AO is kind of a blank canvas, what with the budget not allowing for individual dev tweaking of every area to correspond with an artistic vision.

    Just for a note any settings provided you will have to also tweak in game gamma,contrast,brightness as well as your current global gamma in Ati's ccc or nvpanel. This is why it is so hard to provide a viable all purpose template or people get different results from the same settings.

    Also using a 1.5.1 settings file and not a 2.0 file will probably leave off and out many of the 2.0 options and benefits.

    Tried messing around with it a little and I found that the game becomes way more prone to crashing with SweetFX running. I can't call it statistically sound, but I don't experience the same level of crashing with out it running :|

    Since this version of sweetfx is deprecated, here are the links for ceejay's newer injectors. I didnt see any previous posts put up the links for them so here they are. Also can find forums here for help or if you are just interested in this.

    Sweetfx 2.0 - dont need to delete files and works well with dx11. Toggle works nicely. Updates on the fly as you make changes to the SweetFX_settings.txt

    Reshade - their newest injector which covers multiple injectors.. can be complex for some to use as the mediator program has a goofy interface.

    If you think you are getting crashes because of the injector in the first post, try sweetfx 2.0. I didnt get any with the deperecated injector but I think this one is nicer overrall.

    The newest version of reshade now supports adaptive sharpen it is vastly superior to lumashapren. The results are amazing.

    Newest version from their site. 2.0 link at the bottom of the page. Put the folder somewhere safe like program files x86 before you begin. you can't move it after you start making presets and profiles.

    Wait, i'm confused, do you just use Reshade 2.0? Or do you install using the mediator then somehow configure 2.0 to work with it?

    Just a friendly bump.

    I started using SweetFX 2.0 a couple of days ago, and the new client does feel to be more stable and running smoother now. Highly recommended! I'll post my settings, and a couple of screenshots, here when/if I feel I have something of interest.
