    GMI Buyorder limit

There needs to be a limit on amount of buyorders one can place.

Oh, and ignore appolonia, he's on a crusade.

How is this manipulation to you ? Serious question since I live sit in front of a GMI and never saw this name. The GMI has been on for long enough so people won't be trapped in ridiculous buy orders ; is the guy setting too many "interesting" buy orders so you feel it's not possible to compete ?

    Naming is bad btw.

I wanted to reply, but I'm lacking mind-reading skills, you're obviously focused, aggressive, so not opened to discussion, and there are too few of us remaining here for an endless fight.

It's sad you feel concerned by this guy, even more you're still using the stats windows while the only real numbers are empirical ones - QED. Nodoby cares anyway, I just hope your hatred deflated after you named the guy like a real pro.

It might reassure your paladin mind that none of my 100+ sales - 3/4 of them being alien armor and coveted symbs - is affected by this guy

Forgive me if I don't use a smiley, but I don't feel I have to try to hide I've been a moron.

99% of my trades done by GMI and I'm tired to see crap buy/sell orders like "1", "xxx000001", "xxx999999" too.
"1" cred orders - peoples, especially new ones still can sell their valuable items to scammers which make such orders (being confused by GMI interface, tired, drunk, whatever.)
    - not saying everyone who make such orders are scammer - guess there are peoples using it as "bookmarks", cheap and quick (comparing to mail) way to transfer stuff between toons, etc.
"xxx000001", "xxx999999" - it's really annoying and hard to compete with someone who can check (most likely using 3rd-party software) GMI orders every 2-3h and update it just to over/undercut you by "1" cred.

    So my suggestions are:

    1. Don't allow to make buy-orders for less than 80% of average price of actual GMI sales done within last 4 weeks, or at least mark such orders as "potential scam" and don't show in search results/orders list, unless player explicitly specify he want to see it when searching for/looking buy orders. For items available wide ql range (AI armor, clusters, etc.) - split ql range by 50 (1-50, 51-100, ...) when checking order price.
1.1. Remove "quick sell" button from GMI inventory view
1.2. Implement "bookmarks" functionality in GMI
1.3. Let peoples to send more than 1 item per mail
    2. Charge 0.5-2% of full price instead of difference when order changed and adjust expiration date, so changing works and costs as replacing order by new one
    3. Don't allow prices like "xxx000001", "xxx999999" - proper price shall end with zeroes, at least 2/3 (rounded up) of total digits in it.
    - 1 000, 10 000, 32 000, 120 000 - OK; 10 003, 32 500, 122 000, 120 020 - NOT OK
    - 10 000 000, 32 000 000, 121 000 000 - OK; 10 100 000, 32 500 000, 122 001 000 - NOT OK
3.1. Allow "give-away" sell orders - no tax, if price below 1k and creation fee reimbursed once item sold
3.2. Transferring graces between accounts or to friends - don't see any problem if recipient forced to set "proper" price "1 000" when making buy order instead of current "1"

Also will be nice to see amount of sales and average price (trailing month) for any item in GMI, instead of just only # sales for top 100 items.

Player manipulating top-100 buy-orders you mentioned in original (not-edited) post is rather exception and I'm really can't see any advantage he/she have by doing it.
And I'm really believe - implementing "bookmarks" in GMI will decrease amount of "1cred" buy-orders way better than limiting amount of buyorders one can place.
Prohibiting to make several buyorders for "same" item - sounds like good idea, but solid implementation kinda impossible (or require too much efforts) - either "GMI spammer" will be able to make dozen of orders for different ql ranges or normal user will be unable to place orders for lets say "69-75", "178-190", "223-225", "240-249", "253-255", 300 AI bios at same time (yes, I'm really sometimes make 3-4 buyorders for AI bio, and multiply it by x4 - pristine, mutated, 2 non-fixed clumps).
Not using buyorders as "bookmarks", not manipulating it (at least in way discussed here), but often have ~15 buyorders at same time, and can see cases and reasons when I'm really need to make 30-40 buyorders. So pretty sure - "small" limit like 21 buyorders will affect normal players, and something really bigger like 50 - will not help to deal with "GMI spammers" and manipulations.

Yeah, it's a big differense having multiple buyorders of the kind you have and are talking about, than the ones placed by this particular player (the one I mentioned in the original unedited post)

Detect multiple buy orders placed of values less than 5% of last 10 sales average and auto ban account for 3 days if triggered. Tired of 1 cred BO spam.

I always sell to "normal price" buy orders and just ignore morons who are offering 1 or 100 credits more!
Same goes when I buy anything on GMI if there are 2 items : 1 with price 50 000 000 and 2nd with price 49 999 999 I will always buy the more expensive one...
Majority of my friends are doing the same and I hope more and more ppl will do the same

I think maximum buy order limit is sensible to combat all the stupid buy orders trying to con people.

Bit unsure how people can see the sell orders that sell for less by any amount as the same as the scammers setting buy orders for 1 cred. What is a person supposed to do if they want to sell an item thats already been sold? sell it for more than whats already listed? Not sell it at all? Seems a bit of a retarded demand, why set the requirement at 5% or 10% ... why not 90% or make people list it for free.

If you want to gaurantee the sale of your item, keep checking its price, if you cant be bothered, accept that someone else is likely to list it cheaper.

Same - I also never buy from sell orders that undercut by a couple of credits or some other jack ass number that is obviously targeted at getting the top spot on the list

I support some initiative to get the scammer buyers off GMI somehow.
