Thread: Nano damage % cap

    Nano damage % cap

It seems like there is a cap on how much nanodamage you can stack up judging from this numbers:

Did a few tests on vort instance where there is this wonderfull 300% nanodamage buff

This would in theory give me these damage tiers on GIVA:
    Damage 12800-16600(60288-78186) if MC => 3000
Damage 11600-15200(54636-71592) if MC Matter Crea below 3000 and Matter Crea from 2600
Damage 10400-14800(48984-69708) if MC Matter Crea below 2600 and Matter Crea from 2300

My mc at the time was 2605 so i was on the second tier in this example so i should have gotten a damage range of Damage 11600-15200(54636-71592)

    Nanodamage mods where:
    Direct Nano Damage Efficiency
    Base: 100 points
    Total: 471 points

And sure, i got some good hits in, but nothing close to what it should be if nanodamage scaled like it should/isen't capped.

    A few examples:

You hit Ground Chief Vortexx with nanobots for 35939 points of radiation damage.
You hit Ground Chief Vortexx with nanobots for 42386 points of radiation damage.
You hit Ground Chief Vortexx with nanobots for 40627 points of radiation damage.

So, can any1 confirm that there is a cap? I might have read something like that but i can't quite remember after all these years..

maybe ACs kick in, and the buff sets your nanodmg to 300% instead of adding up

It adds up, that part was pretty clear:

    Nanodamage mods where:
    Direct Nano Damage Efficiency
    Base: 100 points
    Total: 471 points
I normally have 171 % with that setup.

And the minimum damage, regardless if he has 1b ac should have been 54636+my add damage

Well, i doubt we'll get word from Michi.

    Any comments on this Nanofat?
Even if you don't play alot anymore

Min dmg would prolly have been abit lower, but not that much lower ofc. Since cap should show up on item info, I guess that not the case either. You could test some more and see what MC skill the min damage relates to. With weapons that have 3k mbs, I think you have to calc with like 1600 attack rating even if you have 3k attack rating, because of nerf tables.

Try using a flat damage nuke (candycane?), subtract your +dmg and see what percentage you're left with.
