This thread again. My guess is that "they" (read : whoever is still assigned to AO) are busy with pushing Exiles towards Steam's Early Access and there's little or nothing to report in regards to AO, so why bother ?
No further significant work is expected to be done on this project going forward.
Oh, yes, Conan Exiles! This may be the one which shuts them down. The only thing that would disappoint me is if the monthly letter isn't a resignation one.

FC is horribly bad at communication with players.
All it takes to write monthly letter is 5 to 15 minutes.
It is better to write something like "We have been very busy with Exiles and therefore did not created or changed anything in AO this month, Servers are stable and we hope that you had a lot of fun playing AO"
rather than write nothing ...

Yeah Analrimmer is pretty much AO's version of Arnold Rimmer from Red Dwarf. Quite often well intentioned but pretty much always way off mark and totally misguided.

My guess is because A. They don't have anything to really report on the past few months, so they aren't just posting "Hey we haven't been up to much" which would just cause a bunch of salty nerds to rage about it, or most likely B: They have been busy working on either Conan's Exile, like someone mentioned above, or (and this is I hope the case) they have been working on the AO Steam release, which is a pretty major undertaking, especially since I remember them saying in the past that there were issues trying to get it to work on Steam, so they are bug fixing/preparing the game for it.
Well this thread's getting deleted the moment a mod remembers AO has forums...
I'm assuming the Big Thing for AO is the Steam launch. Wonder if we'll have to re-DL AO through Steam for it to work properly. And will Steam have a fit over multiple client installs &/or instances.
