Make taunts work in PvP

NR resistance but no disengaging and swopping to another target without using some serenity nanos to counter the effect.

Since the aggression is a count that stacks, the counter effect would have to keeping being spammed until the aggression is zero again. Yes, this could lead to spamming, it sure keeps your target and their nano effects occupied, either they use their nanos against you or to break their attack off.

Range and roots skill will become even more important.

mongo already works in pvp

with all those people with auto-target / auto-attack player on, the number of time I ve rushed a blob with my enfo, mongoed, and grabed the agro from 80% of the clans there is quite impressive.

Making stuff like iEoM and Mongo taunt players for a certain amount of time would be fun, say for 2 secs before the player could disengage and fight someone else again.

It would never happen as PvP currently stands and would require the intended format (in my opinion anyway) of each profession to be applied (ie Enfo is a tank not a healer/DD'er, Doc is a healer not a tank/DD ect).

If an Enfo for example, did have that attribute (that they could tank 5-6 players) and their normal offensive abilities reduced, then the idea would work.

Nice concept though.

I agree the idea itself is good, however it would need to be refined to the extreme to avoid as many negative results as possible. For example Enfo's would probably dislike an offensive nerf just to save a gimp in the BS. And Docs can make great PvP tanks vs some classes. All depends on the situation.

I could see this working REALLY well

imagine a mass pvp situation: the blob has called the doc, and the doc is nearly dead, but, because few members of the blob have actually stacked agg from the doc, they are easily "dstracted" by the enf close by who all of a sudden draws agg away from the doc entirely.

The enf, with 70K HP, and RRFE and other reflects manages to take a crapload of specials in that instant, and coons, he's down to half HP, but only 1 or 2 members of the blob are able to find the doc again. The doc is saved, and 3 seconds later the Enf is at full HP.

The blobs callers recall the doc/someone else and the process starts anew.

Sounds cool, and could be a real interesting tactic in mass PVP.

It could really bring to life the enf's toolset. It would cause all sorts of tactical advantages and disadvantages and would really mix thigns up.. Also, it would be really cool to have two or three enfs stacked at the door at Tara, and have them be chaining mongo, like, it could easily be a stalemate, unless a mega rush is accomplished, but it would be cool to be standing there with the enf saving your ass every few seconds, where alphas would REALLY need to be executed well.

Enforcers are not the only ones with taunts, I would like to point out. I think this would also enable real team PvP.

Everything that takes away a player's control over their toon in PvP is retarded, stupid, frustrating and most importantly super boring. That's why stuns and fears (to a lesser degree roots and snares) are stupid in PvP. That's why taunts in PvP would be stupid.

Not sure what mass PvP you're talking about here, but if a doc is only 'nearly dead' and an enfo is at 'half hp' after being called by a 4-5 teams zerg/blob.... meaning that up to 10, 20 even 30 people unloaded their FA/AS/SA/burst/fling/fast attack/brawl (not even talking about perks) into them.... dunno what else to say.
