    Sents, Visions, and Honorable Men

Cathern's comm crackled to life with a warning, "Sentinel's are searching for you in Tir!" "How strange", Cathern thought. A Clan Anarchist Syndiacte member giving HER a warning? That was unusual but the warning was welcome and perhaps, upon reflection a portent of strange bondings to come.

Cathern wondered why the Sents would be searching for her now? Could it be that Silverstone had finally decided to retaliate for the attempts to overthrow him and replace him with Lord Gallahad? If that was the case, he had bided his time long enough. Cathern immediately dispatched her own eyes and ears to find out what the Sents wanted with her.

The Clan leader comm system came to life with requests for all those who have had visions to report to the Sentinels. What the hell? One of Silverstone's commanders was broadcasting on the Clan leader channel.

Ahha! "That is why they are looking for you Cathern.", she thought. Cathern wasn't about to meet them on ground of THEIR choosing. No, she decided to call the shots here. "Meet me on the bridge outside of Old Athen.", she told the Sent commander. Gathering up some forces from the EndGame Alliance, she made her way to the bridge to meet with the Sent representatives.

The Sents arrived, a half dozen or so with a crowd of followers in tow. The began demanding information about the visions. They were pushing people aside and being the typical Sentinel thug.
"Why should I tell you of my vision?" Cathern shouted to them. They expalined that it was for the good of the Clans. Heh! Good of the Clans. Cathern had heard that before when Silverstone started ordering the slaying of neutrals in Tir. She didn't belive for a second that Silverstone wouldn't use this information for his own power lusting purposes. Perhaps a bargin?

"I'll tell you of my vision if I see a written order recinding the death order on neutrals in Tir!" Cathern demanded. The Sent commander scoffed and refused to bargin. Others present also refused to share thier vision with the Sent thugs, save one. Tharkeal, leader of Vitae Covente. Tharkael imparted to them SOME of what was revealed to him. In a private channel he explained to Cathern he was trying to see what was really up. Cathern trusted Tharkael so restrained her anger.

About the time Tharkael was confessing his vision, Sir Beargar, Lord Gallahad's right hand man also made an announcement on the Clan leader channel, calling for people to tell HIM of their visions. Cathern had dealings with Sir Beargar a few times before and trusted him. He after all, was kept informed of the plot to overthrow Silverstone and replace him with lord Gallahad.

Cathern and her friends/guards quickly went to Camelot to meet with Sir Beargar. Arriving at the keep, Cathern was shocked by what Sir Beargar had to say. It seemed Lord Gallahad and Silverstone were working JOINTLY to get to the bottom of these visions. In fact, Beargar had invited the Sents to Lord Gallahad's keep. "Time is short and we must put our differences aside", Beargar explained. Reluctantly, Cathern agreed to share her vision experience with the Sents once they arrived.

A few minutes later the Sents showed up at the keep where they were asked to disarm before entering. Sir Beargar led the group into the keep, up to the formal dining room area. There, Cathern, Cogs, and Tharkael revealed the story of their vision for all present. There was some discussion on what it all meant but all agreed that the time for the Clans to work more closely together was at hand. Petty squabbles needed to be reduced.

Having gotten the information on the visions, the Sentinels departed to look for others. Sir Beargar called on the Clan leaders to stay for a meeting. He explained that the word of what had happened must be spread through all the Clans. He asked for ideas. Cathern offered that the media would be a key player in getting the news out. Beargar agreed and gave Cathern the name of a reporter whom she met later in the eve to discuss the happenings of the past couple of days. Beargar also hinted that the time of the Clan leaders was at hand. The old ways were fading and it may be time for new leadership in governing the Clans. The implications on what that might of mean seemed to sink deeply into the leaders present.

What would the future hold for Cathern? She felt she and her fellow leaders were being tested. By whom or for what reason, she could not say....and did not dare think. No...those thoughts will only lead to disapointment. Still....excitement coursed through her veins. She handn't felt this alive in ages. It was a welcome feeling.

Cathern was in a bit of a shock. A second vision had appeared. She was able to record the conversation.

The forcess of darkness is moving
16:43: "Vision": The battle of our destiny is moving forward.
16:43: "Vision": Driven by greed and false promises They will try and make the portal theirs.
16:43: "Vision": Tomorrow, is the time when you must make your stand.
16:43: "Vision": When the shadows herald the evening hour, you must go home to stop these minions of evil.
16:43: "Vision": If they are not stopped, then destiny will be lost....
    16:43: "Vision": forever.
16:43: "Vision": Tomorrow, at the evening of planetfall, the forcess of darkness will make their move
    16:43: Vixentrox: where?
16:43: Vixentrox: where will this happen?
16:44: "Vision": The dream does not tell
16:45: "Vision": But the feeling of going home is strong

That sounds like it was an absolutely knock out event, Vix. As for Visons's message, Mental Projection made the similar announcents in Rompa today, not tha Dabz beleives a word of it :-)

I think tomorrow's patch is going to be interesting.

"Sir Beargar has been captured...we need all the loyal Clans we can get to free him from the Omni forces holding him!" Dammit! Cathern listened to the comm over the Clan leader channel. Sir Beargar was a trusted friend. Quickly responding to the captain knight's call for help, Cathern informered the EndGame Alliance that Sir Beargar had been captured and to meet the knights at the keep in Camelot.

In dribs and drabs the Clan forces assemebled. Representatives from most EndGame Clans, Storm, Opposing Force, Vitae Covente, and others! Cathern was pleased that so many had responded to the call for aid. Wasting little time the large force set off on foot; destination: Main Omni base in Avalon.

After a long run the attack force assembled outside the base. "Sir Beargar must be rescued! If you see him, shout out the news!", the knight captain shouted for all to hear. "charge!"
The assembled warriors rushed to battle. The Omni were fierce. Some of their strongest warriors rushed head long into the Clan forces. Desperate battle broke out and it was indeed a wild melee.

Cathern fought hard but then decided to change her tactics. Remebering the goal was to find Beargar and not slaughter Omni, she got in her Yalm and sped into the dome, dodging fire form enemy forces. Others had the same idea. Not finding Beargar on her HUD radar system, cathern surmised he must be held in one of the many buildings. She was able to scout two before being ambushed and sent to reclaim. Icellus was very busy scouting buildings and there was one other...Arthenas. The troubled man desperatly missing his wife.

Quickly recovering from the effects of reclaim Cathern zipped back to the battle area. Much of the Clan force had fallen. Staying in close comms with one of the knights, Cathern gave status reports on what she seen, having dodged enemy fire once again while flying into the dome. About this time, Arthenus announced on the alliance comm that HE had found Beargar. Cathern quickly relayed this information to the knights who then rallied to help break Sir beargar out. Sadly, Arthenas was sent to reclaim and his rezz sickness kept him from the events that were later to happen.

Rallying the few remaining Clan forces including the valiant Thedeacon, an injured Sir Beargar and the knights battled their way out. Cathern repeatedly swooped her Yalm low over the heads of the Omni, drawing their fire. *Thud thud Pow* Her yalm was hit repeatedly by the gunfire but it remained airborne, the auto repair systems working hard. As the force finally reached the gates, Cathern exited her Yalm and began fighting a rear-guard action, helping to slay the Omni in hot pursuit. After much blood was spilled, Beargar, walked free.

Heading back to the keep the exhausted warriors felt pride at a job well done. The knights were most greatfull and invited the Clan warriors to the keep dining room. There, the warriors including Cathern assembled and waited while Beargar cleaned up and donned a new suit of armor.

When Sir Beargar returned, the assembled knights and Clan members shouted hurrahs and saluted the giant knight. Then, something most curious happened. Sir Beargar began to call people forward. The leader of Storm was first. He was presented with a small bag. What did it contain? Cathern was intrigued! Storm surely deserved to be recognized this day for their is no question their warriors are amongst the fierecest the Clan has. Cogs, her friend and ally was called forward. He too recieved a small bag. Cathern was very proud for him to be recognized!

Then, almost in shock, she heard her name called. Cathern almost in a daze stepped before Sir Beargar and saluted him and recieved a bag as well. Speaking a few words of thanks she bowed and went back to her place, still stunned by the event. Other names continued to be called out but Cathern was now lost in thought and curiosity of what was in the bag.

Slowly opening it, she cuaght a silvery glint of metal. Opening the bag further revealed it was a ring. Cathern was overcome with emotion. Never had she imagined being honored in such a fashion. Truely the whole room must have gleamed with her pride and the pride of the others who recieved recognition. Still, Cathern felt a little guilty that others had not been recognized but, perhaps one day, their day would come. Yes...she had earned this...and would keep on earning it. She remembered the visions......"Tomorrow, is the time when you must make your stand. When the shadows herald the evening hour, you must go home to stop these minions of evil. If they are not stopped, then destiny will be lost...."

The events that happened in the past few days kept Zane on his toes. Every corner he was expecting to see something new to stun him and further guide him into action. For the first time in a very long time, Zane felt like a child looking for a parent to guide him. It all started with the Sentinels when Cathern told him that the Sentinels were looking for him. Why me? he wondered, he didn't think of himself special.

Yet the events unfolded as they would. He should have known that he himself, a baby to being a clan leader, would not gain enough information from those that "protect and serve" Tir. It wasn't until they sat with the great Beargar, whom Zane himself was meeting for the first time, asked for their help on this matter. Cathern was the first to speak, Cogs, and then himself, telling the full story of his vision, the pieces the Sentinels did not hear.

Out of that meeting a few shocking things were learned. Things he would not even repeat having sworn that his lips would stay shut to Sir Beargar himself, but the fact that other knights and even Sentinels had the same visions more than intrigued him.

It wasn't that meeting that caused Zane to feel out of place in his newly acquired role as president of Vitae Covente, rather it was his insecurity added on with the following battle after another vision he had reported to his friend Cathern.

If there was a purple heart medal, Zane should have received it, thinking he was fast enough to run past the guards, he ran right past the front lines of those Omni in the main base that held Beargar somewhere. The second line was only stunned as he ran past them as well but their ammunition was just as fast as he was pelting him quickly, and just when he found an entrance to duck into, his mind went blank, and soon reclaim was staring at him. As he could tell, the first casualty in this battle.

"DAMNIT, mother &@!# !" Zane cursed at himself for being so weak that he would fail so easily. He only got up, and again ran down the path that they took to get to the main base.

Returning to reclaim again for the second time in oh so many minutes Zane felt helpless, anger had gotten a hold of him... but this time he was going to do things smarter. One the rezz wore off, and he felt fine again from dying, Zane got up and got into his yalm flying to the base. He flew over the battlefield as a few shells of ammunition dented his yalm... like he cared. Flying over the skies, Zane ended by where enemy parked their vehicles, he rested a moment, and healed only to begin to look for a house to start searching for Sir Beargar.

On his fourth pass of the base, he decided that he would be better this time diverting the enemies fire, and helping the ground troops. This was also due to the word that Artheanus had found Sir Beargar. Soon after he blanked out a moment, but it was not before several omni guards fell to their feet.

It was by the fifth time and halfway over to the base he was trying to get a battle report when he was told the Beargar was on his way back to the castle. Where he meet with them by the entrance, his humiliation worn on his face, but hidden behind his helm.

Those that had fought returned to gather in the castle to praise the return of sir Beargar and the good work that they have done together. Beargar, having recovered from his capture then began to reward those valiant warriors, first the Storm leader whom brought upon the most warriors and aided well in this return, then Anthony, a new friend he had meet at the meeting a few days ago, and then Cathern his good friend, ally and confidant. Then his name was called. He himself was shocked at the calling of his name, having most likely the most deaths, he was still presented with a pouch, one he took. He didn't care much about the reward, but that the goal was accomplished, regardless of his own humiliation. Yet inside of it a ring laid, one of such power and beauty that he could do nothing but thank Sir Beargar in his more then generous gift.

For a moment he felt as if he made his first difference acquiring this position, and that the goals that he had said he would like to do were slowing progressing foreword.

"A difference was made today... and I was a part of it," he said to himself as he found a sleeping place near the guards in Wailing Wastes. He set up a camp, providing them with some food and warmth as they went about their patrols. "Yes... today a difference was made... " Soon sleep took him over.

The events of last night showed exactly what can be accomplished when we as the Clans work together. In fact our attack was so fierce the base commander of the Omni-Tek base came out personally to try and stop us(unsuccessfully of course). In addition to those Clans already mentioned I want to pass on my thanks for the valiant actions of the following:

    The Mockers
    Valor Eternal
Unity of the Rose--one of the members of UoR in particular, Arthenas, who charged through withering fire to locate Sir Beargar
and of course the members of my own Clan, First Light

I hope this is a sign of things to come. With the unity shown last night we showed the galaxy that we can accomplish anything we set our minds to.

May the Clans continue to live free.

Comm blackout. Some strange atmospheric phenomenon appently had disrupted the whole planet's comm links. Up and down the comm systems came. During one of the up times, a warning finally came through! Whisper's Edge mines were under attack. A quick warning was given but the comm black out took hold again.

Heading out to the mines Cathern was disheartened to see members of X-Com attacking. Up the comm system came. Cathern yelled at them briefly while attempting to raise some more defenders. "Damn!" The comm blackout took hold again.
One by one towers fell. A few defnders showed up, but there was no way to direct them to rally points for nano-buffing, no way to coordinate the defence. The defenders fell in seconds to the well equipped and buffed X-Com Omni.

Once again the comm systems slowly came back online but already 75% of the base had been destroyed. Finally able to organize some sort of defence, Omni was driven off. EG clans, Noble Order, Lost Chapter and others had finally heard and responded. The Omni did not give up easy though. They returned again, but this time....they had a suprise waiting for them!

After the comm systems were coming back online, Sir Beargar heard Cathern's cries for help. Calling a few of his knights, Sir beargar headed to Whisper's Edge towers to aid in their defence. Cathern was suprised at this turn of events, having the Knights come to their aid, but it was most welcome. Perhaps all those months of trying to get Lord Gallahad in power were paying off? Perhaps it was the continuing gratitude for aiding in Sir Beargar's rescue? Or maybe it was just the great Clans finally taking part in the ongoing war. Whatever the case, X-Com was given a rude shock at the hands of the Knights.

The base held...barely. Cathern was proud and thankfull of all those who had helped. War is an ugly business Cathern thought with a sigh. It always brings out the best and the worst in humanity.

This tower raid was not a event at all

Ok this is what happend this xcom 'army' was 2 ppl my alt and my friends alt - Azoreal and Reclaimyou

We planned to attack this tower we headed out there when we killed like 2 towers chat started messing up but i didint want to stop just cause so minor chat problem...after we got bout half the towers killed the chat annoyed us so much we stoped till it was back up then went back took the rest down till we got too the CT, any one they sent we got rid of in seconds weither it be 1 person or 6 ppl we killed them all the same, then we wher fixing to attack the CT to claim the tower as our own (we have been at it bout 4-5 hours) then 3-4 level 200 event chars came out of nowhere and killed us (2 level 40 chars) totally unfairly

this was NOT a event it was a legit tower raid of 2 ppl that got unfairly stoped and i hope the controler of this rigged 'beargar' is banned for this abuse of a event char

OOC:Well, mr. Netgod...you certainly like to portray yourself like the hero, dont you. I was there personally with an alt Enforcer, and had the pleasure of seeing you go down, not only once but at least twice, and this was without the help of any Knights. This was way before the Knights arrived. (I had left the area, beleiving it ot be safe, when the Knights came out). Secondly, you guys from X-Com have pulled this stunt before....attacking when chat server went down. Thirdly, there were no messages on All Towers that you had attacked, I got a frantic message from the pres of WE as the chat server briefly popped up telling me that you were attacking their base....! Fourthly, your language leaves a lot to be desired......the totally rude comments you guys spew forth are not very impressive, and had you been in my guild, you woulda been booted instantly.
Fifth...if youre gonna fight, do so fairly. This is not the first time we see X.Com use the failure of the chat server to attack clan towers.
We might be on opposite sides of the fence, but we play the same game, and some honor should be shown. I see the Knights intervention as the hand of justice, they came to uphold what is just and right, to strike down on dishonorable conduct.
