    Unhappy Patches and prime time

This issue has been on since the dusk of AO. Why on earth the server patches are always scheduled to take place at European afternoon? Yes it's early morning in the 'states where you might have the majority of accounts and many very angry players. But hey still.. Wouldn't it be a bit more fair to change the server downtime scheduling from time to time?

GMT 14:00 is EET 16:00, when the prime time begins in Eastern Europe. In case you haven't heard of it, computing and internet also exists in countries such Sweden, Finland and other Nordic Countries.

If any company is aware of that, I hope to god it is FunCom...

I'm sure it has more to do with a few simple (to the right people) deals; mainly, US customers outnumber EU (shrothand :-p) customers. From a marketting sense, it is best to piss off the fewest people possible. Americans also complain a lot more. Also, IIRC, the servers are in New Jersey, or somewhere similar.

You few patching opportunities. Midnight in EU is prime time US. Morning EU is also prime time US. Afternoon EU is morning US. Evening EU is noonish US. Night EU is afternoon US. The prime times overlap a great deal. The easiest is to screw the afternoon EU clients, and very few US clients...
