Anyone have decent defense skills?

Hello,
If you have some decent defense skills for your level how are they working for you against critters that are near your level? Im thinking about spendin some IP in evades and nano resists but i want to see if they are actually working before I do. Thanks in advance.

They keep you from getting hit for criticals. That's what they're good for. Other than that, they don't do much... unless you can get them so high that the enemy misses you altogether.

Which is unlikely, unless you fight something which is 1/3 your level or something like that.

Evades work. Nano resist doesn't. Before raising evades I was crit nearly 50% of the time, and after raising them I'm almost never critted now.
