So...
We all know the problem with fast weapons and their low damage..
As I see it, there are basicly 3 ways to solve it, 1) up the damage, makes slow hard hitting weapons useless. 2) Change the way AC work... major recoding, and 3) add something else to fast weapons.
So what can be added without disturbing slow hardhitting weapons or require massive recoding with the following balance problems that would most likely ocure?
Procs, that whats needed
By adding a proc, that could be a slow, root, stun, DoT, debuff....., you add a dimension to that weapon that makes it viable without upping the damage.
There exists a few of those guns today, but are very rare and not used.
Example:
In right hand a pistol with a slow, and in the left a pistol with a evade debuff.
That would enable people to use a hit and run tactic and as a bonus get a better chance of critting.
The purpose of the proc isn't to add damage directly to the target, it's to add a possibility for the PC to use fast weapons and still do good by other means.
