    Nano/skill organising

    Hi there!

I have recently begun to play Agent again, and i've always been wondering how all agents keep their Nanos organized, because i really wonder how higher level people do so, if possible show us some Screenshot of your GUI with your nanos and skills, or just explain how you got it all sorted out! That will also help me later on when ive got tons of nanos and skills. *especially now you cannot delete nanos anymore that u've learned.

    Thank you!
    Agent

I generally sort the Nano formulas alphabetically so I can find them easier, and I have various combinations of frequent nano setups on my hotbar, so I'll have one bar for Doctor formulas, one bar for Crat Formulas etc, I have 2-3 bars for buffing depending on what I'm buffing, I also have quite a few general use nanos arrayed in the favourites section.
Ebondevil - Omni Level 220 Agent on Atlantean, Feel free to contact me any time if you have questions, in game or out.
Varinox - Omni Level 220 Meta-Physicist on Atlantean
Yamarra - Omni Level 150 Shade on Atlantean

Feel free to send me any tell in game or a Private Message if you require anything.

    Something like that...
If you collapse your nano window to 1 line, you can mount all nanos to one tab.

Then just sort them, this way you can scroll down beyond screen-limit how long you can drag the nano-window

    Thats a ooooold video tho-
-Now I have all FP-ables in one tab, general in another, discarded nanos in another, Agent nanos another etc...

    It's not so hard

With nanoskills I maxed all except TS, which I have around half (but that is not so smart since new nanos get added a lot).

well i used the different splits in the nano window. gen buffs+agent buffs -> favorite, all mimics that can heal --> medical, solja, enfo n crap -->combat and so on and so on. once u know where the prof is and got it in a group, seeing the nano is easy. plus i have a bar with the mimic nano and the most important nanos for each mimc on the 7-9 slides of one of my bars.

    <3 Hotbars <3

    Screen shots:
Doc nanoes are on sub-bar 3
MP nanoes are on sub-bar 6
NT nanoes are on sub-bar 9

    I have 5 hotbars

Hotbar 1) [Lowest horizontal, on sub-bar 9] For things that can be used in all professions:
Perks, Free movement, health packs etc.

Hotbar 2) [Vertical, to the left]
    Agent buffs

Hotbar 3-5)[Horizontal, the top one is 5, then 4 and 3]
    Profession specific nanoes.

The Program window (Ctrl-8) is sorted like this:
Favorites: Set up for low level buffing. The most common low lvl buffs for some professions.

Combat, Medical, Prot, Space: Are set up by NCU cost.
That is the way I have always had them, so I have gotten used to that. Plus, as a rule of thumb better nanoes usually takes more NCU, so the best are in the end.

    Psi: Is sorted alphabetically.
There are just too many nanoes in that category, for it to work in other ways.

Having just rounded my nano number 400, that is the way I choose to organize them.

IP should look something like this to choose from (with pvp in mind) :

    Most important

    Rifle - Maxed
    Aimed Shot - Maxed

    ************************************************** ***************

    Important

    Abilities

Max them all, but some trim some of the skills.

    Concealment

Maxed, some agents trim it but keep it high if you wanna hide from players and mobs.

    Nanoskills

I'd max all nanoskills, you use 5 nanoskills for TP and top procs alone.
You can trim them and also and keep Time and Space very low (currently) but you are better of maxing all nanoskills in the long run.

    First Aid

Keep it at 1k+ for good recharges.

    Treatment

Max it or keep it high.

If you got enough gear you can just keep treatment high, and skip maxing some abilities too and still be able to use ql 300 symbs.
That along with having your toon work great.

    Body dev

    Keep it high.

    Evade

Helps to mitigrate overall damage, but play full def!. Max it for best effect but you will see it helps if just kept fairly high too.

    Dodge Same as dodge.

    Nano-init

Rise it high. Some likes to max it.

You should IP this skill from the bottom at 220.
Stop IP'ing it when you can cast CH and other combat-nanos fast or instant. Wear your combat-gear when testing.

We get a little + inits from LE-ring and Ado Symb for example.

When init debuffed, it usually ruins everything anyway so there is no need to max it if you already can instant-cast your nanos.

    Nano-resist

    Helps resist hostile nanprograms.
Some don't put a single IP in it "because anything dangerous will land anyway".

With maxed NR and nanoskills, you can quicky go into a NR2 build tho

    Runspeed-

You will need to kite a lot, and also run after your opponents.

    Perception

This is one of the skills we can be really good at, max it if you touch it or just keep it high enough to swap scopes.

    ************************************************** **************

    Somewhat important

    Comp-liter

We get access to trader CL-buffs so you can keep this pretty low.

Free movement, Virus Scanners and some important items require Complit tho.

    Full Auto

When in supple-based armor and maxed Full Auto skill you can equip M150-rifle without IP'ing burst.
A nice extra 30% damage if it sits.

    Use with absolute consentration!

    Nanopool

Without any IP in nanpool, no -cost gear. I can on my solitus agent get off 6 CH's using regain nano+stims.
Thats 8x6 battle time with chaining CH. (CH recharge x6 ).

You will of course be very crippled when nanodrained tho. Most agents raise this high.
The point is just that you don't have to.

    Sharp Object

Extra damage when perks and specials just isn't enough. Tear of Odepous for example.

    Dimach

Same as sharp object, extra damage.

    Piercing and Sneak-attack

For maximum damage you can use Piercing Evil.
But don't do it unless you know what you are doing and are fine with loosing a lot of flexibillity and surrival.

    Psychology

You can use it for repressors and towers. Apart from that it's useless to us.

    Fling

Raise it enough to equip Cobra. Some pvp-agents skip it altogether and just use Kyr2, HLoA and M150.
And thats because our regular hits are low and our rifles slow.

    ********************************************

Find out what suits your playstyle. Avoid IP'ing anything else.

Thank you, monique, i always wondered how high level agents skills looks.
Only 206 here and leveling. Pretty much the same skill scheme, excepting few parts:

I dont bother yet with dimach, full auto, sharp objects and so on, since i dont pvp too much (if any) due to the lack of equip. Anyhow, i'm in process to upgrade it to a decent state.

I am opifex. I always max out the core abilities, body dev, nano pool, rifle, aimed shot, fling, CL, treatment, conceal, run speed. As for nano skills, they aren't maxed out yet, just saving IPs for later use, when i will decide what top nanos to use.

I always max out nano pool as well, because as opifex i often find myself in troubles due to the lack of nano. I still prefer spamming LE and keeping CH for "real bad' situations

Nano init and ranged init are always maxed for obvious reasons. I keep the agg/def bar a bit less than 1/4 def and CH is *almost* insta.

As for evades, they were maxed during the 160 - 190 title level cap and now i raise them only sometimes, when i see i get critted too much. Not too often tho, because i still get missed a lot.

How do the skills look for an 220 evade agent ?

Wow, Cheree, this is more than i was expecting, thank you.

i think not maxing nanit init and/or nano resist is a mistake. in every scenario. and i think dimach is out.

His nano init and nano resist are maxed. His ranged init isn't though.

Psychology looks untouched as well, I guess his top towers are below 200? (not too experienced on this, I might be wrong)

PS Not it hit me, maybe you weren't commenting on Cheree's setup

My org doesn't have tl7 towers. I have a few tl5 ones. I have gathered a full set of arithmetic and I believe it's possible for me to swap into a psych ear implant and back without too much trouble (I'm not using a symb for ear). It still might not be enough for ql 250-275 towers without ip spent though. I'm not too concerned about it atm, who knows when clan will have Tl7 towers. If I wanted to ipr again, I'd cut more out of treatment now that medical 3 is researched. I wanted -some- ranged inits, but I can easily get over 1k from gear, and then there's recalibrate perk for another 400inits.

(I think Xootch's comment was more of a general post, maybe inspired by monique.)

Dimach is very expensive for the use I get out of it, but it sure is fun!

  14. #14
yeah. i was talking about moniques statement. in a general sense i would say not maxing nano pool is also something that you should only do if you know what you're doing there. aaaand our rifles ain't slow and our reg hits ain't low. (could always be faster and even more than that could be higher). but i didn't wanna work the list, so i stated the obvious

cheree has a pretty specialised setup, that i think is a piece of art itself...so no criticism there

and yeah, dimach is fun. i used it back in the *yawn* old days to kill mas a lot. but a good point was made in the german forums that piercing evil isn't that much more expensive you you just get dimach for the pe reqs. you just have sneak then, granted, but it's way faster than dimach. if i'd go with something like that, i'd go with sneak no dimach. you can do both of course, but ips are tight, which you can also beautifully see in cherees build.

Is there any point in keeping Fling maxed all the way ? With ~900 - 1000 current, it is no difference between regular shots and fling ...

How its damage is calculated ?

The damage is the same, just as the recharge goes down with a higher skill.

I did reccomend that you max them, but that you can choose not to can also be worth mentioning

There is advanced players, consept players and the majority of the normal ones.
Also ranged init is great to shoot faster in full-def.

WOW! This is SOOO helpfull! Thank you so much!!

Cheree, Monique, any of you on RK2 so we can talk about this a bit more?
