Anarchy Online Map Compiler (C#)
Anarchy Online Map Compiler (C#) (1.0.6 RELEASE)
Features- Compiles maps
- Support for multiple map versions (per dimension, for example)
- Supports 'comparing' images, only adding unique slices - reducing total file size (some limitations due to how Anarchy Online reads the map files)
- Create maps with single or multiple bin files (all to your liking)
- Improved speeds compared to the PHP version (a test compile of AoRK: PHP version took roughly 40 seconds, while C# version took 8 seconds)
- Output format may be PNG (larger file size, no quality loss) or JPEG (smaller file size, some quality loss) - and is defined per worker task.

Requirements:
MS .Net 3.5 (or compatible)
Windows XP and later should work.

"Demoders Patcher" (PHP version) updated to v2.0.1.5, new configuration files for AoRK & AoSL. Use the patchers self-update function (Start the patcher and select option "u") to update.
C# version of patcher is still on the drawing board.
AOMC (C#): Was updated to 1.0.6 at third april.

Just a little update:
The patcher is progressing (Milestone 1 hit: .bin decompiler finished & working)
the MapUpgrades tool will get a v1.1 release soon-ish, which will have some GUI improvements & will be utilizing .xml files generated by Xyphos' AOxPort tool to allow simple selection of characters, not having to locate & copypaste the relevant data from ingame every time you want to check maps. It's mostly a treat to those that already use the AOxPort app for other reasons.
New tower site: On hold for now. Might manage to get something up and running during the summer. (the old one will of course work still)
FLWBot (PHP) release of source: Canceled. Going to rewrite in c# using Vhab's Vha.Net library. (If you ever were in Famous Last Words or one of the allied orgs (except XGI), or in their guest channels, you'd know what bot I'm talking about. )

The AoRK/AoSL patch issue seems to be an issue with the patch server. I'm not sure, though. However, Onack has been notified.
The patcher aborts the patching process if it can't get all the necessary files. This is to avoid corrupting what it's patching.
Changelogs: For what?

Thanks for the bumps.
New patcher: Progressing.
It manages to create the files required by the patchserver now.
I still need to optimize how it stores the binfile layout; The AoSL patch info file is 1.5MB atm, and it's abit counter-productive to download 1.5MB to see if a patch is available.
The following is on the to-do list to deal with that issue: - Split out binfile layout into own .XMLs, leaving only the binfiles md5/sha1 in the main distribution layout file (like the old patcher)
- Add support for version tags (version.id etc); Download 10 bytes + http headers from the patchserver, compare to the local version.id, and display "patch available" in the list.
The new patcher will have a proper GUI, along the lines of my offline MapUpgrades tool.
The new patcher will be incompatible with the old. This shouldn't be much of an issue for the end user, since the only person distributing with the old patcher is maintaining their patch server.

PHP version of my patcher:
In adition to the patchserver .ini files being wrong (which was corrected by Onack yesterday), there seems to be some odd quirks with the PHP patcher.
For some reason it isn't able to store the downloaded files on Win7 x64 at least.
I'm not going to look into fixing the PHP patcher, since it's going to be depreciated soon anyway.
Instead, I'll have a coding spree on the c# patcher (with a nice gui etc) this weekend, hopefully getting it into an usable alpha stage. No promises on the progress though.

New patcher progress: - Patchserver generation is complete. (this means I now have something concrete to work up against when making the 'patching' part of the patcher)
- BinAssembler is done. (this assembles the 'final' .bin or .uvga file)
- "UpdateDistribution" (the thing that actually updates the files on your harddrive) is a work in progress. It is looking good so far.
The patcher will support patching & first-time installation of maps, GUIs and scripts.
For the users safety, files shipped with Anarchy Online will be 'off limits' for alterations by the patcher. This includes the default GUI and default planet maps.
