Thread: Hot keyed characters

    Post Hot keyed characters

Now that we have the Notum Wars and mass combat underway, the way we fight PvP will be changed. To the better for most, but no matter what; it will be different; even from the mass battles we see in Camelot.

What you will have, are several guilds attacking an installation of towers and several guilds rushing in to defend it. You will have (except lag of course) 50-100 people (very depending on the size of the guilds participating) fighting in a large outside area. Oh yes it will be chaotic as war usually is.

Of course, finding your team-members isnt hard with the Function-keys, but finding other important guildmembers fast will be near to impossible.

What I would like to have here, is the ability to pre-define characters to hotkeys, either a spesific key that toggles through your defined «hotkeyed friends» or several keys assigned to spesific people. Assign these to «shift-F#» keys and it could be done.

For a doc trying to target and heal the tank outside her team, for a fixer to buff his close friend from the other guild etc, this wil be valuable

When you know your wife or husband, best friend or savior from past battles joins the fray, you want to keep an extra eye out for him/her, and with these functions that can be possible.

I do welcome the voicecommand functions in NW, and it is a very good step in the right direction. Now we can take it even further.

Another thought is the ability to have chat channels for allied guilds (and have them work just like the guildchat does today). These will mostly be used during battles, but also good for the everyday social life when you want to announce a meeting, a wedding or just looking for group

    What do you think?

    i could imagine

a map upgrade item that you can buy for the people you wish to group or guild with.

currently you can cycle through "sided" targets but that might get a little out of hand.

if some sort of "beacons" would allow you to cycle through only a set number of players, that would indeed allow for better coordination.

the thought of 6-10 people hitting the beacon for the leader and using assist is scary though.

there should be a function key to locate guild members or, if your your guild is allied, to have the leaders or the /orgs to coordinate formal alliances with alliance commands as well.
