Thread: Are soldiers still tanks?

    Are soldiers still tanks?

Coming back, leveling a new soldier. Wanted to make sure I was on the right track. Are we still acceptable tanks?

I haven't been doing much with evades (level90), am I failing here?

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

They're great single target tanks, for sure.

Don't really stress out about evades besides maybe evade close till you hit 220.

Ya wanna fix something - give RK mobs better xp, make RK matter again.

    Good one on one tanks-
If you get in a group hopefully you can TMS and last!

Don't worry bout evades till endgame

So last night I bumped up my armor, and bam! Tankin like a champ.

Going to leave this post for the next guy wondering:

Armor, get better armor till end game.

I have a set of ql 300 Ofab at 100% on a level 200 soldier. I am very tanky, in both PvM and PvP.

With a calmer, you can tank most things just fine. Without a calmer, areas with alot of adds become more difficult and you either need an enforcer, or other people who can handle some off tanking.

But if there is a boss that needs tanking, we are quite adapt at it, as well as 1 on 1 regular mobs.

A good idea on higher levels if you are tanking is to run a macro that warns when AMS is running out ( have been too lazy to make one for my sold, sadly).
It can be rather scary from a doctor's perspective when AMS ends and a sold starts taking massive amounts of damage.
