Why battlestation is really good time waster

The problem with battlestation:

You got 9 points. Leave Battle station?

After 1 70 second round. It's 10:30PM now, and I gotta go to bed for work in the morning. I signed up at 6PM.

Sure but what does that have to do with the point he brings up? Having alternative ways of getting VP or PvP does not magically make BS more active.

Besides, when you need 130k VP then getting a few hundred VP per alien mission is not really viable.

Wanna another reason ?

Buffing 2-5 min(depending on profession) then some retards cap all 4 points and after 5 min u leave BS...Then losing side quit and there is no BS at all...

So 5 min of buffing for 5 min of pvp...

I thought things will change with VP drops cause u can earn 2k per round easy(if it dosnt end in 5 min) But ppl still do it for some reason...caping all 4 points for no reason.

Longer BS=more VP , more PVP so its win win situation for both pvpers and VP farmers,

So plz WTB new type of BS cause this is just stupid time waster.

actually fast bs cause a greater gain in vp, if people 4 cap and win right away.

Also have the case of a PvM player who is there for VP (for what ever reason). Some profs set up for PvM have a hard time killing another player. So longer time on the BS does not mean more VP for them. Quad cap and out is more viable for them.

well, jenshey, the funny thing is this, I logged in, signed up, got annoyed after 10 minutes, logged my advy, did three inf mishes, did bazzits quest, make three pieces armour, tracked down a cotwk, equipped it all, did another inf mission, got bored of inf grind, logged back in on keeper, complained in org chat BS never goes, then, all of a sudden, like the AO gawds heard me, BS popped.

And, like a carrot, it were yanked away quick as a wink, leaving me with , oh yay, 9 VP.

It were, as they say, a kick in the pants.

and, yes, like wrangline saying, AI mish is annoying, esp when you need at least another 20k VP or so. TRying to put spec edition hat on keeper. But, it's a long slog, I've been at 21k VP for about 2 weeks.

Not true. cause to loot VPs u dont need to kill them, u can loot corpses from ur side or opposite side and it dosnt matter who killed them.

So PVM guys who are after VPs can farm them pretty easy as long as they stay alive.

Or, you could 4cap and use your time productively. Running around on the battlestation hoping people don't loot their kills and hoping the other side ignores me when they roll through sounds about as productive as the 4 hour wait to actually get into an active battlestation.

Yea ur right i guess caping all 4 points and then watching losing side quit BS making it stop running for few hours makes it far more productive. -.-'


On BS there are always 50/50 players that need VPs and players that just enjoy PVPing.

And those who are there for PVP dosnt loot VPs since they dont need them and there is always free VPs to loot.

It's no fun for PvPers to slaughter the entire opposing force that presents no challenge. In this case there won't even be any VP sticks to loot for the losing side since they won't be killing almost anyone at all.

BS should be about fighting, not about intentionally delaying victory even though the outcome is clear and certain.

Battlestation will never satisfy everyone who join.
Some people want as many vp's as fast as possible others want good and long drawn fights. When you put these 2 group of people together one of them will be unhappy.

If you dont have 2+ hours to play securing one win makes more sense, its human nature at work, and yes it is more productive for the individual in question.

Of course, if there was a decent pvm method of getting vp you wouldn't have all these issues, 4capping would stop, win trading exploits would stop, and people wouldn't quit BS after one round if they lost.

You want BS to run?

Have FC put the same DOT from lox (12 man)on both ends of BS, both omni and clan side and only affect the opposing sides. KILL off the spawncampers and you will get BS to run. When Clan wins 500 - 20 from spawn camping omni quits....when omni wins the same... clan quits.

You talk of balance... Start with somthing simple like making BS balanced

Why should FC do something about players being stupid? You have 15 seconds to run from spawn to a lift, if you choose to not to and instead hit tab+Q you have only yourself to blame. At lower TLs this may be a problem but easly fixed by RS buff that BS gives, or extend the gas timer.
