After playing my Engineer quite alot, I want to try a different setup on it.

I have a few questions about AMEP/OH, What sort of AS number should I be looking for? What kinda of AR?

I realize alot of people prefer Troa/Peh and that's cool! I just find it inflexible and the AS doesn't feel that great.

I'm thinking you could swap alot more with the amep build and allow for more varied setups.

IIRC before I went Troa/Peh my AMEP had like 3300 AR, same relative HP setup. Could easily squeeze more AR out of it. No idea about AS numbers, but you definitely want as much +damage as you can get.

I just find it inflexible and the AS doesn't feel that great.

Now try to imagine your AS is that good only 10% of the time, and you are there! The additional AR from an AMEP setup is of limited use due to pistol mastery perks being based on pistol skill rather than attack rating.

1.8k is the magical number for oh, youre pretty much around that number with full css/cc and as imps

AR/AS/Add dmge but you will lack a little survivability. Or you will have to team

1725 (or 1720 iirc) is a border thing there while wielding the OH.

1.) Downside from a real AS setup (and you will need it for overrising the above mentioned template) is that you are bound to swap nanogear for casting and even buff pets. I did this for a few months now and it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo extremely disturbing after a while. When smart pvp players kill your pets, it takes quite a long time to even re-cast and re-buff a small mechanical dog.

2.) Another downside: The OHs range. It is very low and it comes pretty unhandy in countless pvp situations.

3.) The OH/AMEP build is far from beeing that variable and versatile as you may be expecting it. Just like I have mentioned above, you need to fully pimp out AS - otherwise the number of capped AS are pure luck and then, under the line, the Troll0r performs much better.

I need to admit that some perks (linked to the OH/Amep build) are very cool and useful. Easy Shot for example and the whole AR (I think I had... 3,3k ? Cant recall it correctly anymore) was really funny.

Tested both builds now... 5 times now - back and forth, back and forth and I am just about to put on Tro/Peh again.

Just my experiences, my impressions.

I still think HP/as/add dmge Trox engi (Amep/OH) with MR could be awesome but i'm fking lazy to finish my old rk2 engi :'(
