AORC AORC+ GET AORC DOWNLOAD HOW TO (Maybe it'll come up on someones search one day).
Edit: This post used to contain an old link to AORC+ and instructions how to configure it for use with server addresses that were changed in 2009. No longer relevant, the post immediately below this one is more useful.

AO is full of tech-heads... someone should take it upon themselves to update aorc+ aswell as make me an android-version :P (in my profession we try and fail ath technology before we write long articles on why anything more powerfull than a pocket calculator sucks)

Meh, android wants us to invent the wheel... again... with their sdk.. in java.
Even the iPhone is more gentle on language choice and Apple is locking that down like crazy.

Android is awesome. Android gives a happier life and reduces the chance of cancer, heart disease and unwanted pregnancy.

+1
Love my android phone (rooted, custom roms, etc.).
And, Vhab, yeah it's java. They do have this, though. I know it's not the same, but it's something.
Or you could always program in BASIC.

Can someone who has Powerz to compile AORC+ investigate why Vhabot windows get expanded by default in the chat windows, and do not correctly display the <click to view> link?
It drives me mad since I use AORC+ a fair bit, and org bots are vhabot, so when someone logs in I get their expanded alts list each logon . I tried to download the source and make sense of it .. but I can't get all the components to compile correctly .. probbaly doing something stupid wrong, but hey!
Much appreciated if you can find, and fix it f'sure

Then what is the error in the html window-forming code .. and why does the Game render it correctly, and not AORC?!?!

I'm sorry Major, but you're wrong. On examining the AORC code more closely, the flaw occurs because there is an apostrophe (single quote) character in the link tag "Name's alts" which is confusing the Parser in AORC. The Vhabot textblob correctly starts <a href="text:// [CHUNK] ">Char's alts</a> and I have checked there are no more double-quotes in the [CHUNK] to confuse it. Its just simply not identifying the TextBlob and Tag correctly .. leading to it pasting the whole lot. The clue is in what AORC 'believes' to be the Tag .. which is the :::: of the header Instead of "Char's alts".
I point the finger at the TMainForm.MatchEndTag function - though I haven't figured out why its not identifying it correctly yet. It can't be difficult I'm sure, but I still can't sort out the Toolbar2000 components in my Delphi7 install in order to compile it .. or I would

Ok .. so the good news is I've managed to fudge Delphi, and I have successfully recompiled AORC+ for myself. So .. watch out for some updates folks!

You're hurting my feelings :'(
VhaBot actually has one of the best formatted output of the bots available.
In almost all cases (unless some formatting was manually injected) it even correctly closes opened tags unlike some bots.
The flow content goes through before being generated into AOML makes it unlikely for malformed AOML to be generated.
It looks to me AORC just throws some regex around to find text windows rather than properly parsing the input.

Its not Quite that crude, there is some attempt at parsing the text, but its certainly not very thorough, or particularly robust.
But hopefully I can see to that .. 'tips welcomed' as they say on OOC !

FYI I am working on PocketAORC for Windows Mobile, it works quite well even on a slow device.
Android version may come later after I setup the android SDK and port the code over.
For iPhone users, sorry, get a real smartphone
