That's why earlier, a pvp only nuke, with a weapon requirement (dual pistols), as what they did with doc's pvp dot, seems to be the best solution for the problem considered in the OP.

Crat want AS in pvp, I guess, to have a regular reliable source of damage. This is, as long as no serious AS pistol is released, not compatible with a pistol setup.

Now, if you'd have to define AS, caracteristics would be :
-11s lookout (can be achieved through a 11s lock out debuff or a 11s recharge)
-no counters (very low NR check, 0 to 10% NR I guess vs 100% MC... or MC 50% pistol 50% ?)
-variable damage, according to the multiplier you rolled. (random rolls, could be tweaked, base damage with 5 different multipliers)

If there are no AS pistols to be released, having a nano reproducing AS caracteristics, usable only with pistols, and only usable in pvp (as AS isnt used most of the time in pvm anyway), would allow crats to keep a pvm weapon setup (pistols) whithout sacrificing pvp capability (thx for having an AS equivalent). Ofc, due to the advantage of more procs with a dual weapon setup, said nano would be tweaked to be a little less effective than AS... what I proposed is just rough numbers (and pvm damage) that are to be tweaked for I dont know what exact kind of damage a crat would deal with an AS weapon. I leave exact numbers to people that can talk about that, just thinking of a concept.

Just some food for thoughts.

Edit. Could even go a lil further in the concept and imagine a nano with 100% pistol AR and pistol req. NSD wouldnt block 'AS'. heh

I'll break this down for you nice and easy, since my OP is apparently difficult for you to understand.

I wasn't replying to your original post, I was replying to a suggestion someone else made later in the post.

You however were replying to my post against giving crats a weapon granting Aimed shot without needing to spend any IP in Aimed shot, which would also give them a reusable Aimed Shot in PvM.

What you personally ask for is not necessarily what other people are asking for, and since you seemed opposed to my post, you either didn't bother reading the lead up to that post, or were quite happy with the overpowered suggestion. I assumed you had been following the discussion on that particular line of reasoning however.

I can sympathise with Crats wanting to be able to use pistols in PvP more effectively, I see no harm in such, as long as the suggestions for how to achieve such are reasonable.

If they improve craphander it should remain shotgun not to favor crat, ranged adv, or fixer.

Complete nonsense. Pistols have much better support then shotgun for all potential users of improved one-hander (Crats,Adventurers, Doctors,Engineers, MP), so its a natural choice, and only one that makes sense.

I see zero reason why everyone should be at disadvantage because you are too lazy to IPR or put some IP in pistol. And dont bother responding because i'm pretty sure Funcom doesnt care either.

The problem however, and the POINT OF THIS THREAD, is that to make that great PvP toon, all the PvM benefits go down the toilet.

Which, apart from doctors and adventurers, is an issue plaguing every other profession whose intended primary weapon line is pistol, or for people who have pistol support and want to use them.

So this is a thread by a Crat, asking if that issue can be addressed for Crats.
