Best Race?
I know this question has bin asked many many times but can anyone advice me what race is best for doc?
I resently started a Doc and is currently lvl 10 he's a nano mage but after reading posts ive seen that mabe nanomage isent the best race for me afterall =/.
Ill tell you one thing, i want to do all things all other docs do in high and low game. This doc is gonna be mostly supporting my group with heals and buffs and i dont plan to solo vary much but if Sol can get really big nano pool buffs im not sure if i want to be a nano mage.
Please advice, i dont want to be gimped =/

Well from my point of view
Best breed for a doc is Solitus
high hp
avarage abilities good for equiping symbiants
looking normal :x
and high nano skills
with good config you could even cast best heal at 220 self
easier to equip tier 3
nanomage is hp gimped
str and agi gimped (bad for symbs)
looking wierd :x
high nano skills
and well you can self cast best heal with same config at 220 self
so less hp less abilities and crappy looking
and pain to equip tier 3 ql 300
opifex is kinda eer avarage
agi and sense is good since they make mostly support symbs with agi sense heh
well best heal is castable with alot of phat lewt at 220
and kinda good looking
well not different that nanomage to equip tier 3 but its little harder
atrox has good hp
looking eer different :x
well not that high nanoskills
less int psy needs CM to cast best heal
and cant equip some high ql symbs
very easy to equip tier 3
ok well from what it looks
I wouldnt think twice to make my toon solitus instead of freakin nanomage who cares %5 less cap
but who knows how it will change on AI

just for the record, opifex has the same dripple-down from abilities as solitus, so if one has high nanoskills or need ci to cast best heal, it goes for both

?
Nanoskills are all 80% dependant on int.
Opifex has dark blue int, as far as I remember...
Solitus has light blue everything, so they can raise int higher than opi - afaik.
Ofcourse, I might be wrong - I have no way of validating what I'm saying here, since I can't logon from here...

solitus: all blue
opifex: green agi/sense, blue str/int/psychic, dark blue stam
MM and BM are int/psy dependant, so there are no diff.
MC is int/stam dependant, so solitus will have slightly more

The real differences between breeds needs to be stickied somewhere on this forum desparately.
I've been toying with nano or sol to be honest but an opi doc might be kinda fun. aka I haven't made up my mind either.

No doubt in my mind solitus is the way to go.
Only real advantage to nanomage is being able to cast higher dots and heals without having uber gear but the sacrifice for that is less hp and harder time soloing dynas.

Go solitus, you equip much better symb who need a bit of every kind of ability. About equiping armor the doc T3 has a weird combo. Psychic and stamina. Not a single breed has these 2 green. Anyway AC is high enough for the min dmg. The extra's are the most important. 2 bad T3 isnt that ubah.
But the most important for me is equiping symb asap you can. You can use some pre SL armor who still perform outstanding (some AF/sentinel/Azure/Merlin). Just take what best fir to your needs from each kind of armor.

There is absolutley NO reason to be nanomage. Shadowlands wiped out every advantage we had in my opinion. The nano caps are the only thing we have goi for us, and those are EASILY met by any other profession.

I play nanomage doc because it's an interesting race to play, if you always worry 100% about being the tip top in your field you would have a heart-attack in no time...
My advice to the poster is play the one you think is the 'coolest' or has the best storyline/general personality associated with it.

Nano-Mage isnt exactly a "bad race" to choose. i play a soli myself and sometimes i wish i were a nanomage
1. they use new heals faster than all the others cuz of high nano skills.
2. soli doc would prolly like 2 nano adding bracers and a nano mage would take 2 hp adding bracers making each other pretty much even. plus all the hp adding items and buffs, it shouldnt be a problem at all.
3. since hp is even, nano=life the more nano the more life you have
