Fake Out

I ran into this one tonight on my little MA. Fake Out is the +6% buff of your base evade skill with a level 25 requirement.. it has reasonably higher cast requirements than Evasive Target but (as I found out the hard way tonight) it doesn't stack. So as you can cast Evasive before Fake Out, you'll never use this buff. By the time it buffs more than 50 you'll be using the 85 buff and by the time it buffs more than 85 you'll be using RI etc.

The main reason I got caught out with this is that Fixers have a very similar line of +% dodge ranged buffs which do stack with their normal evade buff (GSF) so I just figured this works the same.

This buff was kind of the only reason I did spec1. I should have researched first I guess There's not much mention of the buff on the MA forum but I found this old thread:

http://forums.anarchy-online.com/sho...d.php?t=177686

"They don't stack. :/
Reported as a bug in early beta, let's give it some time and see what happens."

Unfortunately, it seems very much as if the SL based Evade Nanos are not supposed to stack, intentionally.

The reason why the MA line doesn't, while the Fixer line does, is because the MA line is the same as our normal Evade Buffs. The line can be found here.
The Fixer nanos however(GSF+SL Nanos) are on seperate Nanolines, so they can stack. The old Fixer Nanos are on the same line as all the MA Nanos, while the new Fixer Nanos are here on a new line.

Unfair imo, and has been taken up several times but there has been little response afaik.

I think the devs decided that we have enough evades as it is . The issue is however on our concerns list, which is rooted above ^^ (sticky).

I think its silly though that so many other profs got self evade buffs that stack with GSF/RI.

That they introduced Mongo Rage actually seems to show, that they even think we might have too much evades. Nerf devs!

The one tiny little question I have for them is... Why introduce these buffs in the first place? I mean, it's a technical possibility that "+X% evade close combat" might be useful if the +% would be greater then RI's boost, but then you leave yourself open to ranged perks, etc... and I personally... would not give up a well rounded nano like RI for a nano that gives a "decent" boost in one evade... either make it ALL the evades and somewhat better then RI at high end or make it stack.
