First of all, Greetings to you, fellow citizens of Rubi-ka. My first post.

This guide is really helpful, I'm going to try the mission after I've found the bundle of nanotubes (have found them on every alternative character of mine, seems like it's hiding from me now).

The other day I saw about three Vanguards shooting poor Sirocco near Old Athen west gate, eventually they killed him. I wonder what had happened? Wouldn't want to find Sirocco's body when on the mission...

so i "accidentally" didnt do this quest before i hit 210+ for some reason.. and now the ofoz dude isnt givin me the quest.. am i fooked, is this normal, or is somethin just bugged. Been tryin lotsa times and different days..

fyi: I don't know if this is mentioned in the guide, but the level that the CDS mobs for the quest become grey to you is 180, which (at least when I did it) disagreed with what !level told me the range should be by a couple of levels.

I throw this in because I was never able to get the 'sneak up and trade' methods to work for me at all, and didn't feel like bothering and advy to calm for me (as rubi-ka travel is not such a high priority for teaming nowadays, sadly), so I was forced to just come back every couple of levels, spawn the mobs and try various methods of opening the trade. Rinsed and repeated until eventually, of course, I hit 180 and it was out of my xp range.

hmm, i did the quest at lvl 120 with froob gear ql 200 MCS, self buffed, complitely solo, and with a yalm

the quest difficulty, as far as killing the spawn plants, and making it to quest objectives within the time limits, wasn't an issue. For all intents and purposes I STARTED the quest in my early 130s. The only problem for me was getting a trade window to open with the cyborg. With or without yalm I couldnt manage to get in to open a trade window to do the crystal swap, I tried all the methods I had seen posted and everything, but I pulled aggro every time. Just didn't work out for me, and I didn't feel like towing an advy around with me at the time for calms

i dunno, it was realy easy for me, needed a few tries, but all you have to do is to cover the cyborgs line of sight, the other method of getting close-talking -runing away methond does not work.'

You forgot to mention you had to walk 6 miles to school every day, through the snow, during the potato famine, while rabid dogs were hunting you.



Yes, I am somehow strangely gimped in this one very specific area....



it was probably a connection issue that fouled me up, was piggybacking on a wireless network in an office two floors below me at the time, doesn't help with the precision approaches at all.

then if you cannot do the precisicion apprach, you can ask a fixer capable for team fgridding to transport a calmer with you after you are 100% sure that the cyborgs are spawned

Just to pipe in, neither 250 CL, a yalm, reckless digitization, nor GSF is necessary to complete the first quest. I did it yesterday on my 41 fixer entirely self buffed, and had about two minutes to spare when I got to the twin towers. For the other quest NPCs I had plenty of time.

To get from MMD to Broken Shores, I used the grid terminal, exit in OA, whompa through bliss to broken shores and then run down south. With my run speed of 530, the cross country run through Broken Shores took about 5 minutes. I'm sure there's an Omni friendly similar route that can be taken. The Omni whompa in BS is about the same distance from the target as the Clan one.

I made sure to time the run from the whompa to the towers the first time around, though.. Would have been very embarassing to get there a minute too late

Oh, and I'm neutral, which tends to help for quests like this. In fact, the fixer grid quest is much of the reason why my fixer started out neutral

i know yalm is not all needed, but i listed the 250 CL because not everyone can do the run, they can lag/get killed, and it is the most safe way to do the quest self only.
getting that 250 CL is easy with some buffing items that you temporary put on

Just tried doing the team version at level 130, after getting 4 plants in a row on the 1st spot i quit. I'll do that later, way later.

Just got the Adventurer wrist item Sparrow Flight, that I can hack. Will this help with the Broken Shores and Sirocco runs? Will it foul up the transfers?
