Thread: Check your shop sales - without going there!

Check your shop sales - without going there!

Check your shop sales - without going there!

Go to your AO scripts folder (Anarchy Online/scripts/) in Windows Explorer

Right click, New -> Text Document - Rename this to 'shop.txt'
note: by default windows does not show file extensions, if you do not have file extensions showing - just name the file 'shop'

Edit this new shop.txt file and paste the following:

    Code:
    /showfile Prefs/%1/Char%2/PlayerShopLog.html
Save the file - and login to your char!

    Now.. setting up the macro

    First hit SHIFT-F9

What we are looking for is your Character ID. This appears on the third line of the shift-f9 spam.

    I.e: Zone: 0, Area: Grid, CharID: 50000:1599231234

The bold bit is your character ID, copy this and now type:

    /macro shop /shop.txt <your account name> <character id>

replace <> with the appropriate information:

    /macro shop /shop.txt myaccountname 1599231234

    Thats it!

that would mean that either the character ID, or account name that you supplied, when creating the macro are incorrect.

  4. #4
Actually, it appears that the file is removed once you have checked your shop. In looking for the referenced file I found it only existed on toons that have sold items since I last checked the shop.

So, if the macro doesn't work, and you know you entered the information in correctly, you haven't sold anything since you last checked.

Or you can bookmark the file in your favourite browser

If the log is empty (after transferring cash from your shop), AO deletes the file.

This method would work from any account, or even outside of the game, am I right?

Only if you logged the char at least once after a sale was made. If a sale is made while the char owning the shop is logged on, shop log is created/updated immediately or at least very fast. If a sale is made when the shop-owner char is not logged on, the log file is created when you log it on the next time.

I wonder if it works by logging the character only into chat.

No, it won't. I haven't tried, but the basic of this thing, is that when your client is logged on, the server sends updates aboutt he shop to the client, which stores the info in that file. Now, if in chatclients, there's no access to the prefs folders, and no storing of info like that. Chat clients only has access to the chat channels. No game info.

(how do you make scripts and macros for programs such as AORC?)

    So no.

  18. #18
uber, thanks. you can even use the macro again to hide the window.

would be nice to check for the existance of the file before opening it tho if possible, gonna look for a script command for it.

    is it still working?
