    somebody attacking hacer in west... again

    history repeating itself?

    North died because someone killed signal hacker by mistake and the tank that was holding aggro went ld at the same time when the big wave of adds spawned :/ Just bad luck it happens. Too bad the signal hacker wave spawned when boss was at 2 bubbles

    We killed West general actually. Then we killed the tower for kicks, but some moron attacked the signal hacker so we got a huge wave. Anyway, we got killed by alien mothership.

    We were really just 2 bubs away on north general to kill all 3

    Yeah, apparently the hacker was called for half a second, and someone didn't switched target again It was going really well up until then I thought.

    Although maybe we(north) should have had a team or two dedicated to killing the general sooner. Still, it was very bad luck that a tank goes LD just at that moment too. Else it had been pretty smooth.

    But we really need not to kill those hackers.

    I keep wondering if FC really wanted us to organize such a radiforce. I even doubt it that they thought it possible to get 100 peep organized in 16 teams and do parallel attacks...

    Seems a bit farfetched. Maybe we are trying to find somthing that isn't there. Maybe the idea of 42 was just for smaler teams to choose boss and go for it, instead of of having major zergforces every 7 hrs.

    Are there any hints at all to new content, some mega boss or anything? Somthing in the storyline?

    Well, there are the items that was introduced that haven't dropped yet(IPR and such), and didn't some dev also said we hadn't unlocked it all yet?

    Only reason I rolled clan, and not neutral or omni is because neutrals get shafted in equipment... And omni gardens are ugly....

    If that's the case, it essentially means you need ~90 people (what we had on this raid), and do it in an organized fashion, not zerg tactics which is used in pande/13/28/35 It takes damn long time to set up a raid this size (~2 hours from starting to gather till first raidgroup went out). Kevoupe was doing an amazing job, and nerf all the whiners.

    Well, we know from previous posts by the designer that there is a bigger boss, not yet spawned. We're trying to figure out how to get him spawned. The 3 simultaneous tower and boss drops is our collective best idea to date, and why we are trying it. ...

    what does it mean signal hacker got killed? So you are not killing signal hacker? You just aggro him to not build tower and let him tank with boss to avoid another to come?

    No. We avoid all tower and signal hacker waves period.

    Avoid the tower waves by only using ranged attacks to kill the tower.

    Avoid the signal hacker waves by no one attacking him period, ever. At this point, we see no reason to kill the hacker, or prevent a tower rebuild. We've killed the tower 4 or so times in a raid just to see what would happen. It seems to prolong the amount of time before an airstrike. Not sure if that is even necessary to complete the sector successfully. Airstrikes may stop after all 3 towers and bosses are killed once. Dunno. Experimenting.

    We do know that it only takes a few toons to kill that tower. Even if we have to keep killing the towers, we don't need to deal with the signal hacker waves to prevent an airstrike, and allow the 80% of the raidforce to continue to the uber boss location.

    Current line of thought, to spawn this uber boss, is that we need to kill all 3 towers and bosses simultaneously. We have failed in that attempt twice now, but that is the purpose of these 72+ toon weekend raids that Kev organizes. When a tower raid force fails in its' goal, it appears that someone hitting the signal hacker, thereby starting the hacker waves, is the reason why. It was in this last attempt for the North raid force anyway. That, and the tank LD'ing after those waves started coming.

    when we doing 42 and hacker rebuild tower we just kill him and stay away from tower range, then we avoid adds from tower. And there arent any hacker's adds
