ME and a load of other anarchy online paying subscribers are having problems playing anarchy online due to the savvis.net servers in washington. Is there a major problem that we are not aware of and is there anything that can be done about it? . i

I am getting withdraws symptoms here

i dunno who else is having this problem except other who have posted but would like to know if they have found a resolution to it .

btw i have no problem with any other online games i have and am having no internet problems at all except with anarchy online.

Same for me. Checking with RIPE.NET shows that 64.14.38.246 is an unllocated IP range. Looks like Savvis has a faulty router

On hardware T&L settings I was unable to see chat channels, or they just loaded much later, changing to software driver I got chat channels, but crashed on zoning. First time, hardware T&L exiting OA towards Aegean, second time heading north from Aegean. This one was when running software base.

On each occassion was unable to login on the same server but was able to login on alternate server (RK1/RK2).

Still think this aims towards Savvis being at fault, but then that has been said many times before.

Reinstallation of machine was recent, as within last 30 days due to hard disk controller and both connected hard disks failing at the same time. Fully patched Windows XP Professional SP2 up until last night.

My ISP request I ask funcom to do a reverse tracert to pinpoint possible peering problems

petitioned in game, response was to be told to email tech support, I suggest any with this problem do the same to attempt to push it along techsupport@anarchy-online.com

Well i sent a email to savvis.net and also just sent another email to Ao since they ask for more info (think its a auto relpy thing )

savvis sent me a email asking for the server id and stuff i have no idea what they are on about since i thought it was thier server lol.

And waiting patiently for a email from funcom that isnt a auto response

As can be seen from this I'm hitting problems as early as the Paris Savvis servers this is surely some internal routing problem on the Savvis end that is causing these problems for some of your customers.

Atm, living in France, i have a random 2 to 5sec lag depending on the time i log on...

I think this started 4 or 5 days ago now, and as other stated before: i don't have any problem with my internet connection outside of playing AO or browsing AO forum :x

ok i just logged on to the game and i'm having no lag at all.
I'm on my work pc, witch is on the same connection as i have at home Blueyonder cable, but this is a comercial connection with a larger upload has this anything to do with it? also the forum pages are loading instantly here.

Savvis have occationally closed the ping calls across some of their machines, and denied outsiders(as, say, NCSOFT with Lineage2, who is hosted in same area as Anarchy) to ping some times.

But, that trace route also is the one who made ncsoft move the european servers in Lineage2, to EUROPE.

Thought it had been fixed on trying to log in and being online for about 20 mins, but after that stuck in the same horrible loop: login, can move but no chat, cannot attack or anything. Chat catches up, or I zone and then crash. Then timeouts on the launcher for about 15 mins. Then I can relog to the same issues.

Emailed info requested by tech support auto responder, but no crash log file as one isn't generated for this type of crash, so had to miss that one out.

Wtb a fix soon, or recompense for time we cannot play added onto our account. This has been 4 days for me so far :'(

Same here, tracert shows the issues seem to be at 'Washington.savvis.net' & 'NewYork.savvis.net' but mostly at Washington one.

I cant play, forum and site are slow... I still can post here so i am 'more or less' ok

Im gettin zone LDs anywhere and anytime, LD loggin in LD moving from one area to the next only thing i can do at all is ado hecks....... i live in Montana so could this be the work of the washington server?

New issue, new machine, lappy this time, can connect but zoning causes issues, lose graphics, retain sounds. Tracert points to Savvis again, same as before.

Please get them to open their systems to IP traceroute so we can identify the issue, or choose another host.

A little refund wouldn't go amiss too given the time some have spent offline
