An Appology to all those that got a burden
meh.... figured this would happen.... Maybe i should say sorry on my behalf...
The GM was on the Beast raid on friday because of me, as i had a petition running with him regarding a deleted toon.... when the burdens came up on the first raid and people picked them up.... which hey, i honestly thought was great and gratz to the people that got 1... then once again on saterday we entered the beast lair and there was a few on floor... tbh i couldnt believe it... (yes i picked 1 up duhh) and in all honesty i was damn greatfull to see there was actualy some fun put back into the game...
Does FC at all understand how beast raids work now days? having a limit of level 215+, 120 people max in a raid on a 18 hour spawn mob..... the item costing upto 2000-3000 points and taking upto 6 months, yes SIX months.... and do you understand how damn boring it makes the game to have to join raidbots day after day to get 1 item....
But hey... I suppose its ok for GM's to spawn leetzillas and aliens that drop ELLTS (1 bill for ql200) and viralbots that people just go and sell for credits, but this is ok right? its ok to spawn those and let people go make some credits.... but spawning burdens that in actual fact gave alot of people the ability to twink their toons for ur so called AMAZING new LE Expansion :P we cant because they got removed :P heh
in result... because of jelous and upset players that were a. to slow to grab 1 (because you know full well if you got 1 you wouldnt be complaining) or b. to lazy to even attend the raids.... the players that got 1 have now had them Removed and taken away from us.... thanks guys....
but meh.... I want to say sorry to all those that picked 1 up and then had them taken back away... it was my fault the GM was in the lair in the first place because of my petition to return 1 of my alts to my account... and hope none of you leave game because of this... I already lost 1 org mate because his was taken from him after he had spent so long trying to get one.

uhh... so he quit because he got an item that he wanted, before he was supposed to, and then it got taken away so he can get it when he WAS supposed to? Go figure? If he was farming the points for it, he should expect to wait for it. TBH i'll never bother with a burden, i'm just not that addicted to AO.

tbh, if beastnet didn't kill the beast that dropped the burden, it would be FFA...
Beastnet does not own pande, and therefore if the GM spawned the burdens, they are FFA

I made this post as an appology to those that had 1 and then had it removed... not for people to flame or question why we looted them.
but in reply to what you said: They did not give a vicinity loot message, therefore anyone could take 1 with no1 knowing who took it. and it happened so fast not even the GM could stop it. which we spoke about when he called for me yesterday and took me to a nice sexeh room over looking jobe ^_^
I honestly don't see why people should blame and have a go at the GM... he tried to give the game a bit of fun and im greatfull he did so... just wish they hadnt have been taken away (and no im not saying that because i had one... i didnt get 1 till saterday... yet i was still greatfull to those that got 1 on friday)
Vipeh.

Adding a spontaneous moment of 'fun' definately has merit, and should be applauded, the GM's were trying to interject some random excitement into what is an otherwise routine experience for most people attending the raid.
There is no real question that these should have been raffled or auctioned in the normal way... they were up for the ninja and I'm sure this was the intention when the GM sprinkled his little fairy magic in the Beats Lair. Adding that there was no vicinity loot message seems to support this.
Experience has taught me enough though to not expect a well thought out continuity to GM 'events', and the deletion of items with the GM rushing about here and there to balance the act of creating them seems very compatable with thier normal activity.

I seem to be missing a part of this story...so, the GM spawned some burdens and then took them away. Why did he take them away? What was the purpose of spawning them to begin with if he was just going to delete them?...just to mess with players? (just curious)

they were removed because players that did not get 1 complained and petitioned.

This shouldnt happened, but once it did, BoCs shouldnt be removed either, plane and simple. Blame the selfish greedy 9 year old idiots that petitoned this. And no , i didnt have one, but i was happy for people that did.
GM tried to make raid a bit more fun, and he actually did, it was great and entertaining Beast raid like none before .

strange that a petition could motivate a gm to roll back a decision to hand out something like that - that's pretty cruel to tease people

as i said in my first post... the GM was not teasing us.. he intended us to keep them and was doing it to bring some fun and enjoyment to the game... unfortunatly many people became upset about not getting 1 and petitioned/emailed or whatever they did... this caused the GM to get into trouble for doing what he done. He undo his doing he Called me (dunno if i was the first) to a small room over looking Jobe and rooted me. requested i deleted it my self. and he appologised deaply. i do not blame the GM one bit. it could cause him his job for not undoing it. I just wish we could have kept them. oh well

well, if the gm is not allowed to hand out such things he prolly shouldn't have done it to begin with (I would think gm's know what is or isn't within their rights to do ingame) - better to never hand out the goodies than to hand em out and then take em back

Perhaps it was an unsanctioned act by the GM, but the amount of complaints and petitions brought it quite into the open.
If there had been no petitions all those with the ability to check records (that is other GMs) would have just turned a blind eye, and those who experienced this event would have fondly remembered it as the 'Great Unburdening of GM xxx', as I am fairly sure this is the way this event should have passed into legend.

Sometimes this community disgusts me. Petitioning against someone that had a lucky break? I guess in some cases Darwin was wrong.
Sadly it would appear more and more that this game is being played by spolied little children. At this moment, the WoW community looks more mature.
