It is a few questions to help the interaction between orgs and learn from others.
It can also be useful if you are looking for an ally to know where others stands in the conflict

role of org: no idea really :/ i'm kinda a criminal, as in: i do illegal gambling booking, gossip magazine, selling on black market, stealing info from omni-tek for money, ... As for the rest of the org i got no idea what they do really, i'm trying to get them on the "wrong" path, aka mine ;p but they're free to do what they want

It would have been great to have it all in one place. They are talking about how they can get this kind of info into the database over at AO-universe and if we could have it in the RP org post to, it would be great.
If you look at the org thred, It dosen't really tell you anything about the org, just that there is roleplay at some level and to a newcommer it looks like RUR and omni mining is almost the same.

How do you deal with IC/OOC in your org ? IC and OOC chat, it's all good. Mostly we stick to something in between - neither deep immersive soul searaching nor blantant ooc "Good films I've seen recently"

Are all your members Roleplayers? Mostly roleplayers. Over the years we've ended up with a good number of lapsed roleplayers and 'friends of friends who were never much into roleplaying to start with', but we all get along famously.

Where do you stand in the conflict? Technically Omni aligned, RUR is a strictly civilian, non-political organisation and as such plays no part in the conflict. We have valued customers and investors in three the factions. We'd even sell robots to the aliens if their cheques did not always bounce. Of course each individual RUR employeee has his or her own political views and what they do outside office hours is their business.

Notes: We've been around since December 2002, sharing our unqiue blend of comedy roleplaying to the server.

Having filled in the questionaire for RUR, It struck me what is missing, the fundamental question: "What is the role of your organisation?"

In some instance it's easy. Omni-Op are cops, RUR make robots, but in many other cases it's not so obvious what the org's role is meant to be. Is it a social club, a para-military organisation, a criminal gang? Would members of these orgs have "day jobs" or do they draw salaries from their bosses?

IC/OOC: Org-chat mixes both, and usually we can tell the difference. In general, we adapt to the environment, meaning there's less rp-chat in raids and more in general vicinity.

Roleplaying members: "All" sounds so much when we have just a few members, but basically all are roleplayers.

Conflict: Current corporate policy is pro-conflict, thus we are pro-conflict. This hasn't prevented communication and dealings with.. people outside the corporation, but we never break any rules (bending is another matter).

Role of the organization: Steady part of the corporation with some intrigue and shady business here and there (as can be expected, I suppose). Oh, and we are always right.

How do you deal with IC/OOC in your org? RP is primary all OutsideOrientedCommunications is handled inside of structural code containers like normal waste "((ooc toxic waste))"

Are all your members Roleplayers? 90%+ are mainly RP/ 10%- are habitual OOC offenders that will forget to seal the waste container in their message logs.

Where do you stand in the conflict? We are generally more passive. Often times it's not the fault of the individual that they are an omni employee, brainwashing makes a person do things they normally would not do. We try to understand that and un-re-educate the individual. Alas some simply need a few trips to the reclaim via personal digging device, better known as a shovel to the head. General citizens, or neutrals as they are called may not have the best intent for their freedom, yet deserve our protection to maintain their freedom.

Our guild's role? We hope things may be resolved diplomaticaly, and work at areaching end goals in that manner. Historically we have held a special niche in the conflict in re-un-educating omni drones, that they may live a better life freely in the neutral and clan territories.

Where do you stand in the conflict? The Conflict has created many lucrative opportunities across Rubi-ka, for legitimate business people, like ourselves. We take sides with honest, hard working folks needing goods and services not provided by others who are too caught up in blaming the other side for their woes.

What is the role of your organisation? To provide services and goods for the people of Rubi-Ka, through transport, construction, equipment sales, information services, medicines, city waste management and other types of problem solving.

How do you deal with IC/OOC in your org?
Assembly is a strictly IC org, where it's encouraged to always be in character. We have IC rules for talking in guild channel and vicinity and smilies are frowned upon. When OOC is used, it's marked by [ ] or (( )) or the like. Having said that, our members are quite capable of shedding the RP coat and other players shouldn't be worried about approaching us OOCly when needed.

Are all your members roleplayers?
Yes. Every member in Assembly is a roleplayer in one degree or another. Some are fairly new to it, some have roleplayed as long as they've played AO and some are players people with years of experience from other games, table top rpg's, forum/mail RP or Live Action roleplay.

Where do you stand in the conflict?
Assembly is a clan organization and is very anti-OT, pro-conflict and at times quite obsessively dedicated. There is no room for leniency towards the corporation in this org, and we have strict rules for interaction between members and omnis.

What is the role of your organisation?
Assembly's main goal is to provide services and intel. We will find items for people on contract and sell services like intelligence, information, protective services and surveillance. We try to find ways to actively destroy corporate values and equipment, without going overboard or pretending we're gods.

How do you deal with IC/OOC in your org?
Since the org is a generalist org, org chat is primarily OOC and most RP is done spontaneously in a small group, at planned events, or through stories/fan-fiction.

Are all your members Roleplayers?
No, but most are willing to participate in RP events, even if they wouldn't want to RP simply by being approached by another role-player

Where do you stand in the conflict?
Wolf Brigade is Neutral in the conflict between Omni-Tek and the Clans. Their neutrality is characterized by their non-committal nature to either side: a contract is a contract, once it is fulfilled and payment is transfered, there is no more obligation.

What is the role of your organization?
WB is a mercenary unit that is hired out for a variety of missions by both sides of the conflict. This being said, due to what Wolf Brigade has done and what they could possibly know about either side, none of these missions are completely critical to the military success of either side. Though, if you are in a tight spot, and you can't spare some men to go fix your satellite uplink, or you really need the shift manager at the local Omni-Mart sent to reclaim for a little while, we have a dedicated team of professionals that is available to help.
