[ALL] OOC: Important Announcement by the ARK Events Team

Hello everybody,

due to some unexpected occurrences I'm in the unfortunate situation to
write this post. After many years of a hopefully great service to the
community the ARK Events Team has come to the point were we have to
announce that we have as of yesterday filed the ten thousandth event report.

Yes! Ladies, Gentlemen and Atroxes.
The ARK Events Team has done today its 10000th documented Event.
(That means it is most likely a way higher number, but we can't prove it)
In over 6 years of existence, 10+ Directors with more than 109
different members have managed to entertain you 10K times. Be it our
random one shot event, a LTC logging in for a couple of minutes or a
whole night, be it giving training to other ARKs or players in the
basics of RP. 10 to the power of 4 times we did it.
With an average time of 1.8 hours per event we have spent 18000 hours
(that is roughly 2 years) with you in character.
And we are proud of it.

This huge success is not only the effort of my current team but all the
teams before. I would like to take a moment or two to thank every Events
Director and their teams before me as well as my team for their great
work. Because with their hard work and dedication I would not be in the
position to make this announcement. So let us recap all the big names
that came before me. My dearest thanks go to the Events Directors:

Nevarstiyeh
Lornavash

Tigris, as stand-in for all the former DNW Events Directors
of the Angels of Rubi-Ka, unfortunately I never got to know
those before him.

and the way too many to list here events
members that have served under them.

Over the time we have seen many changes,
changes in the team roster, the start and restart of the freelance program,
introduction of the first LTC, Alien Invasions, RKMR, assassination attempt
on a CEO, taking over the event support for DNW, various speeches of
political figures, ups and downs, launch and relaunch of the CoT,
creation of the OAM, first democratic elections in Newland City,
occupation of Borealis, cleaning of the Tir sewers, Dustbrigade attacks,
Red Freedom, Newland Rangers, creation of the Newland Militia,
Midia Storyline, Lightswift, and many many more things that happened
during and way before my time.

10000... that is a lot, that is so much we feel it warrants a little get
together. Therefore the events team will hang out at the Relax! bar in
Omni-Forest near the walls of Omni-1 Entertainment District:

DNW: 19th of December / 18:00 GMT - open end
Rimor: 20th of December / 18:00 GMT - open end
Atlantean: 21st of December / 18:00 GMT - open end

and you are all invited to join us. To Celebrate with us, down some beer,
to ask us question or to just chat with us about the weather in
Hope. (Transportation for low level claner will be provided, just send us a tell)

Furthermore we will offer our RP-Class for all those that want to know
what RP actually is. The classes will start 30 minutes after the above
noted times.

Still bad that they have left DNW ... I still miss them....

I´ve ever liked all of these events (especially the Dust Brigade events....)

My greatest dream was to join the ARK Events Team.... I love rp so much hehe...

I remember these people especially they were great directors and when they came to do my petitions it was funny to ask them questions about the dust bridgade's and stuff like that
