When a fixer casts fgrid (Hack Grid Data Stream (Team)) then the well known item Data Receptacle is spawned in every teammembers inventory. This item can be used to enter fgrid. Pick up the item and richt-click it on a grid terminal.

The fixer himself gets a permanent item called Quiescent Grid Waveform Template. This item remains, most fixers have put this somewhere deep in their bank.

This is the item we will now use:
Combine Quiescent Grid Waveform Template with Empty Data Receptacle Container, and the result is a Full Data Receptacle Container.

The Full Data Receptacle Container can be put in a backpack somewhere for when there is no fixer around.

Should this situation arise, then you can whip out your Full Data Receptacle Container and "use" it. Result is that the Full Data Receptacle Container changes back into a Empty Data Receptacle Container AND you have a Data Receptacle in your inventory ready to be used to enter fgrid. Not a fixer around at that time .

When after that you meet your friendly neighborhood fixer all you need is ask him to recharge your Empty Data Receptacle Container and you have a new ready for use fgrid charge.

Thanks for the great explanation. I've been curious about this since I first saw it mentioned, earlier today.

At first I thought it was an item that allowed people to use the FGrid without needing a Fixer at all, or that only needed a Fixer one time to make it a permanent FGrid access. Since I'm a Fixer, that concerned me. After seeing your explanation, I realize that it's not that much different than asking a Fixer for FGrid to begin with. It's just that with this, one FGrid trip can be stored for later use.

Now, if they would just put a similar item in place to store an MP buff (CI etc.) for later use, I would be really happy.

Might be handy for a lot of things. Like a single wrangle charge from a trader, since they always disappear after you have recieved all the other bufs you need.

Maybe not to be used during combat/have an unable to attack flag to avoid PvP advantages.

Is it a quest item, random loot or buyable? I saw one on sale for a few hundred million on RK2.

How about Data recepticle holds more than 1 charge maybe even 5. That would be nice. Generally if you are in a rush for F-grid it is cause of war in which case you will need more than one, just incase you get pawnt.

Great start though. Concerning other buffs like CI etc..... Would be nice to get Grafts for things Like Cm/CI/Cost Behe/Prod-Str NS Wrangles etc even smaller less powerfull vertions that wouldnt stack with the real buffs. So not taking out the need for toons to spread the love occasionally but making it less needed to buff beg.

Especially considering that it is really really hard to find someone willing to log an alt or the toon you need to do the job.

Found the empty receptor on an RK mob in PW. I heard of it dropping in Inf mish also. Seems common enough to find if you kill some lvl 200ish bosses.

5 charges would be good especially with the sync issues in F-grid, Sometimes just going near an exit results in you leaving grid, in that case a spare would be handy.

can a fixer give you a normal item for fgrid and then also charge up your empty receptcle for later use..so you can enter grid...get to your spot...and then use charge that's store for another quick trip..befor finding another fixer? ^_^

Make a fix alt.

Imagine defender or attacking a tower field in ......lets say broken shores and the opposition attacks your friends org's field in Perpetual wastelands and nobody has a fixer....

but wait you have your portable savable 1 time use Fgrid....
